I've eaten here many times or just stopped in for a great cocktail or glass of wine with a friend. In spring and summer the back yard garden is just lovely. The inside also has a nice ambiance. The food is really great especially all of their appetizers, those are my favorites

Iâm sorry to say that having eaten really good tapas I canât find much of a resemblance between them and what we were offered at the Iron Vine. The empanadas were heavily fried, the taste of the croquetas de chorizo was also overwhelmed by the fried exterior, and the sangria was pretty awful. For sure it was not made with fresh fruit as it should be, and it was very expensive at $40 a carafe. There was also a kind of moldy smell to the restaurant, like in a summer camp that hasnât been aired out. However, our waitress was cheerful and kind and there were plenty of happy people there, so this kind of food is obviously pleasing to some.

We stopped into Haverstra looking for another restaurant. It had closed and some gentlemen enthusiastically recommended Brisas. It had only be opened 3 weeks. Oweners are Dominican. Food is authentic! There is a small buffet if you are in a hurry or you can order off the menu. Chet had Chicken, Rice and Vichuelas (Beans in a sauce). I had Shrimp in a Garlic Sause and Platano Madura which was SO tasty! It was enough for two. Chet's came with a salad and enough rice to share. They have fresh juices - delicious. Friendly staff and we could watch the Brazil-Chile World Cup game. Well worth the visit for authentic Spanish food.
