I had heard about Core Life Eatery but had not been there until this week. We arrived about 11:45 am and a steady line of customers came in, some for take-out, others to eat in. Core Life offers noodle /grain bowls, broth bowls in a wide variety of meat and/or veggie toppings. Everything was very fresh, assembled quickly, and was well-seasoned. Clearly, they have done their research on the items they offer. I especially recommend the Thai Spicy Chicken Noodle Bowl and the Cucumber Basil Lemonade.

We stopped in as we noticed this shop while grocery shopping. They do have an extensive menu and we asked for the opinion of the employee. We did pick out a few different things. The eggplant was very overdone and as eggplant is normally quite moist, I was surprised. Being told a hot sandwich has about 1/2 lb meat was impressive, but false. It did have more than most places, but NOT 1/2 lb ! Again, the meat wasn't too moist. We did try soup, which was good but pricey ! I'd like to try the cold sandwiches to see how they are, but not very impressed with the hot choices we tried.

Want a superb deli in Rochester? This is the place. A big menu with all the classics, including a great Rubin. The three of us each had different entrees, and all were excellent. Very creative names for sandwiches (ex. Ike and Tina Tuna) with framed artsy illustrations of each on the walls. Very good service. As a clam chowder aficionado, theirs is too rich and thickened for my taste, but everything else, including an amazing array of desserts merit high marks.
