Wife and I had appointment in Queens this evening, and I researched restaurants nearby; Shirazi Cafe caught my eye and GLAD IT DID! it is a casual spot, moderately priced but EXCELLENT quality, FRESHLY PREPARED, LARGE portions, and very friendly staff. attentive in the exact degree. i had the lamb chops, DELISH and my wife had the lamb shank, wonderful. We had the babaganoush; this is a dish which is differently prepared everywhere you go, and this recipe was slightly less smokey than i prefer, BUT on the other hand, the zatar spice was right there to achieve the right measure of tang so... it was a success. i make babaganoush myself, so i KNOW and could instantly see that this was freshly made - which is just wonderful , Many other wonderful offerings so Shirazi Cafe has earned a high , top-ranked 'return' status. and the baklava for dessert was fresh and delicious , made with pistachios and redolent of the sweetness of honey andt the mysteries of the Near East. Mangia. (well, you know what i mean...) enjoy

We came here for a bday party. Nice place, food was very good, especially the appetizers and salads, the main dishes were also delicious, but way over priced. Also the service was excellent and super quick, I believe our waiter was Gabrielle (but not sure) he was amazing considering we had a big party of 20 people. I understand its kosher, but still......lamb kebab nice portion was excellent, highly recommend and the main menus are definitely large enough for 2 people it came with a huge baked potatoe and veggies.
