The furnishings in this Mexican restaurant are beautiful with carvings and paintings of Mexican villages and culture. The service was great and out dinner for two was tasty and more than we could eat. They are very busy, but can handle the crowds well.

We passed every day while visiting family on island. My boy begged to stop. Nice selection of tacos with/without beans, lettuce, tomato. Choice of chicken or beef. We went simple. Hard shells had a nice crunch to them. Both added hot sauce. For $1.19, we enjoyed. They had burrito bowls, fajitas and more. If want simple, this is place to stop.

Never again :(We love Mexican and thought we'd make the drive from the Southtowns to give this place a try. First, we entered and as stood at the host podium/station, a waitress walked by us looking completely miserable and gave zero acknowledgement that we were standing there. My husband and I looked at each other at the same time, smiled, and both sarcastically said: "oh, hello" as we were thinking same thing. (It's important to note here that both he and I have worked in many restaurants for many years). That bad first impression by itself would have been minor- but things just got progressively worse. I think it was our waiter's first day. Not just at this restaurant, but AS A WAITER. He was very nice and all, but just didn't seem to "get it". (Also important to note here that this young man was American so there was no language barrier). I had to basically spell out that I wanted to substitute one side for another. Just when I thought he finally understood, he returned to our table a few minutes later to clarify and thought I wanted something different inside my burrito. So I explained the side substitution. â¦. Again. After that, we watched the place fill in and get busy, while our waiter would occasionally walk by our table and apologetically explain that our dinners were going to be coming up ânextâ or in âjust a minuteâ or âsoonâ. He did this a few times, until we realized that tables that were seated after us were getting their meals. About 45 minutes after we ordered, my meal finally came. My husbandâs did not. At this point we asked for a manager to see if something had gone wrong. We arenât scene-making people, but just wanted to express our disappointment. About 10 minutes later (when I was almost done with my meal) the manager came just as another waiter brought my husbandâs meal. The manager was very nice and apologetic and explained basically that the kitchen had âmade a mistakeâ. We smiled and thanked him for coming over to hear our complaint. A minute later our waiter brought a side of refried beans. We didnât order this so we assumed that it was part of my husbandâs dinner. Having worked in the hospitality industry for many years, itâs typically customary when a customer is understandably disappointed and for good reason! [We waited almost an hour for our meal! ]â to comp -at least- a drink. One drink. We got the bill. Nothing. As a matter of fact, they charged us for the extra side of beans we never ordered! Very disappointing. Never again.
