Our daughter raves about this place, so when we came to visit we agreed to have dinner at Beirut. We canât wait to come back!! I had the Taouk - a marinated chicken breast with the garlic paste on top. Very tasty and moist! It came with terrific hummus and delicious salad with a refreshing lemony dressing. The pita was made in Montreal but apparently the only item not homemade. My husband loved his beef Shawarma and our daughter enjoyed her beef Kafta. She had the baba ganoush with hers and loved the smoky flavor. Not being an aggplant fan, I preferred the hummus. We sampled the baklava and Lebanese coffee for dessert. Both worthwhile. The place is strictly a family affair and we were treated like family by the father and son who waited on us. The mother does all the cooking. With only 8 tables, either go early or call ahead but GO!!

Admittedly this is cuisine that is out of my normal wheelhouse and I have to say I was impressed. Fortunately we had someone who was at our table who knew what to order which made it easy. The bead was piping hot and blown up like a pillow which was cool to see. Dipping it in all of the sauces and spreads was great. The service here was fast and the food quite good. However, for us newbies, it would be great to have more descriptions on the menu. They show you pictures of all the dishes, but it does not give you a real good idea of what these dishes actually are all about. With all of that being said, I would gladly g back but would want someone who can really explain what all of the dishes are about.

In Troy for work & stopped here simply because my rental car was parked nearby. I favor small Mom & Pop places on travel and love authentic ethic food of any kind. This hit every mark! The nice gentleman who welcomed me spoke Greek and had great recommendations too. The traditional lemon chicken orzo soup is the real deal & a perfect delicious starter on a rainy day. I had a great Greek sausage pita sandwich to go with it. Lots of other good authentic menu items. Couldnât resist taking a couple of Sugar dusted almond cookies with me to the airport. So good & such a nice atmosphere that it reminded me fondly of little places where Iâd eaten in Greece. very reasonable prices too & quick service. It both brought back good memories, & made a new one!
