The population was 15,303 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village is named for Chauncey Mitchell Depew (1892), the president of the New York Central Railroad and later a US senator (1899-1911) who was one of the original investors who bought the land for the village which was incorporated in 1894.

Wonderful spot for breakfast or brunch!The atmosphere is welcoming and homey. Right away you feel comfortable.The food is excellent. The side of fruit was so flavorful and fresh, you could definitely tell it was just cut today! I know it is a crepe place but I really wanted pancakes. I was amazed! So thin, light and airy! I would order them again! My husband ordered the corn beef hash breakfast. He really enjoyed that it was freshly prepared, not the canned variety.We would encourage you to stop at this restaurant!!

We always come to MiMi's for lunch when we're in Lancaster/Buffalo NY.She does the BEST soup that she makes fresh every day. Soup selection is mushroom (my favourite) which is vegetarian based, chicken soup and vegetable. Mimi does an interesting 'sandwich' of filled croissant. We had never heard of this the first time we were there and so we tried it and thoroughly enjoyed the taste and now have one of her sandiches with a cup of soup every time we go.Mimi is a delight to know and what is special is that she always remembers us even if our visits are 6 months apartThe cafe is next door to the most amazing toy shop which is run by Mimi's daughter.Don't miss a delicious bowl of soup if you're anywhere near MiMi's Central Perk Cafe.

This was my first visit. I frequently visit similar establishments such as Whole Foods and had high hopes. I was pleasantly surprised.The fresh food offerings they had from seafood, pasta, asian, south american, bakery, etc., were vast and of great quality. The staff was very helpful and professional.
