Let me preface by saying this was a Wednesday evening and it was not crowded. I should have known we were in trouble when we waited for almost 30 minutes for our waiter to greet us and then receive water. For drinks it was a wait of 15-20 mins. Most times our waiter was no where to be found, not sure where he was since our whole section seemed to be waiting. Another table who sat down before us, 2 hours in became fed up, got into an argument with the manger and left before their food was served. That at least kept us entertained as we waited another 20 mins for a round of drinks which we received after we finished our meals, insert eye roll. Food was lack luster, nothing special and overpriced for the flavor. Calamari was rubbery and flavorless. For a place on the water they should at best have good calamari? I think the Caesar salad had store bought dressing on it! I don't mind paying for overpriced food, but really? Place itself is beautiful, right on the water and to sit outside was great. However, the service was horrendous and food was average at best.

This was one of the worst restaurants my husband and I ever went to. Perhaps, tied with Catfish Max in Seaford a few years back. We found out these restaurants have the same owners, what a surprise! The one thing that stands out is the service, it is terrible. They just do not care about the customer at all. We went with friends this past Sunday, and what a bad idea this was! The service was terrible, with this economy restaurants should stand on their heads to make you happy, this place did everything but! We asked for bread about 4 times, finally came after sitting about 45 minutes, drink orders took forever too. I ordered a hamburger, how hard is that? Wanted it med/rare, came out like a hockey puck, sent it back, and what do they do? They gave me the SAME FRIES, COLD! Are you kidding me? The roll was hard and cold too, sent it back, wound up eating nothing, just waited until our friends finished up their sandwiches, which were ok. The place is ugly on the inside, no charm, and the staff are awful. We should have just walked out after waiting 45 minutes for the bread, but it was getting late, and decided to just stay, what a mistake! Do not waste your time or money on this place, they need Restaurant Impossible to get in there, and show them how to cook food, and run a restaurant!!

Went for lunch, the room is nice , the meal was inexpensive, the food was as good as the poorest diner food you have tasted, Dish was salty, sides were cold. It advertises it self as a seafood restaurant but when we asked if there were any lobster dishes on the menu the waitress said, only in the summer. OK but why does their website show a menu replete with seafood dishes? But as they say, you get what you pay for. I feel bad because we dined with friends who said the place was below par but I said,let's try it again, dumb me.

Wow! This was the BEST fresh seafood I have EVER had! We are from Atlanta and had a yearning for some fresh, not frozen seafood. While driving around we decided to try New Wave Seafood. Small restaurant area which looks like a pizzeria style setting. Locally owned and operated, which is RARE for us to experience. I have read previous reviews and can understand some of negative comments but have patience with the wait staff and enjoy ANY Of the items on the menu. I had the seafood medley of calamari, mussels, clams, shrimp over a hot marinara sauce. Mussels were piled high and were so fresh! Thatâs the best about this place, it also sells fresh seafood in an adjourning entrance and they get all seafood from this area. If we were local we would make this a regular treat! Prices are extremely reasonable as well! Give it a try!

Villa d'Aqua 2565 Bellmore Avenue, Nassau County, Long Island, New York.South of Merrick Road, it is blended in almost looking like 'another private house' that happens to be nestled in a residential neighborhood on a cozy waterway inlet overlooking the inlet bay. Quite charming cozy fine dining eatery with very attentive wait staff offering you a wide-enough menu selection with lots of variety to satisfy your palate. Decent portions of tasty delicious dishes. Even has outdoor waterfront dining when seasonal weather permits.

Waterfront restaurant - off the beaten path (trust your GPS!).Large outdoor dining area - where we were seated on a perfect summer evening. The indoor space seemed cramped and was actually cold. Restrooms were uncomfortably cold. Food was very good, however it was overshadowed by the wait which was absolutely ridiculous - over 45 minutes after we finished appetizers (which did appear in a reasonable amount of time).I felt bad for our excellent server - Mackenzie - who could not be more apologetic for the failure of our food to appear.Apparently there was no owner or manager on the premises - or they did not care enough to visit our table to offer an explanation or apology for the unacceptable performance. Our poor waitress was left to fend for herself. She had another table suffering from the same issue!Faster delivery of food would result in happier customers. They will not be around for long as such slow service also prevents turnover of tables and unless corrected will lead to financial failure!We won't be back.

Went on a Friday night while in town visiting family. It was great!! Nothing fancy, just well prepared food in a congenial atmosphere. Had salmon an lobster meals. Dessert was yummy. Everybody enjoyed their meals. Service was wonderful. This was my second visit. It will be on list for our next visit.

At the suggestion of our daughter we decided to give D.J.âs a go tonite. Weâve been driving buy for some time and this time we went in to sample the food. We both ordered the lobster roll to try on site. In my experience, seafood does not always travel well . We shared and here is our result. The lobster rolls are fairly priced and both included a generous portion of fresh lobster meat. We both favored the hot version but the cold version was very good. I am very impressed that neither was adrift in mayonnaise. These are the healthy version. Certainly, we will return to try other offerings. Tonite, they had soft shell crab, a personal favorite, but we came for the lobster and thoroughly enjoyed it. We shall return!
