Shipwreck Tavern is located across from the beach in Bayville Long Island with beautiful views of the water. Shipwreck serves fresh seafood as well as steaks, burgers, pasta and more. There are 2 outside decks and a tiki bar serving exotic tropical drinks
We were on the Bayville Beach and walked across the street for an early dinner. We had been here before and liked the place. Our server, Emily was very sweet. We sat outside for the drinks and appetizers but then the bees started coming so we went inside. We had hummus served with olives and pita bread- very tasty. I was not happy with paying $12 for a glass of Chilean Wine ( written as from 'Chili' on the menu- lol)I wish there had been a 'house Chardonnay' for a lesser price. The rest of our food was fine and at the hour we were there (5PM), the place was quiet. I would like to offer a suggestion- a Happy Hour menu would be awesome. Now for the but....... Before leaving I went to the Ladies' Room- OMG- gross me out!!!! Glad I had not gone there before my meal cause I would have lost my appetite. Not only was the toilet full of 'unmentionables' but it would not flush. I mentioned this to a staff member and he said he would tell the Manager. I used the Men's room and asked my husband to watch the door. Sanitary conditions are an important part of a restaurant.

We are located on a beautiful golf course in Glen Cove.
The place has some great atmosphere, nice views overlooking the golf course and the water. Chef Janine is well respected in the community. BUT.... The service is quite poor and the food is very inconsistent. Donât even bother with the snack shack outside the restaurant the older woman there has no personality and and a very thick accent. You are destined to get a stale moldy roll with your egg sandwich or your hamburgerWe are sorry in your opinion you feel our service is slow and our food is inconsistent, we have just celebrated six years and I am really proud of our food we serve and our staff. We book many parties as well as having many return customers, and really feel we have been doing a great job. as for the snack shack I really feel a accent should not make a difference. We live in a country were there are many different accents, The snack bar is a convenience for the golfers, if theres a problem I would have hoped someone would have reached out to me. But I can certainly garentee you it will be looked into Again thank you for you feedbackSincerely Jeanine and Fred DiMenna

No frills place at a marina. Tables are resin and dishes are paper and plastic. But the beer is cold, the food is very good and the view is unbeatable.

Weâve been here at least a dozen times over the last few years, and we are never disappointed. Terrific beer selection and great food. Whether you want a salad or a full on dinner, the food never disappoints.

Ordered lobster taco as an appetizer which was supposed to have all these wonderful ingredients and spices I donât know what I got but it wasnât what was described. Same with the fishermanâs platter, it sounds great on the menu, Iâll give them this it was $50 on the menu,on the high side, right? With all those ingredients, lobster shrimp, scallops and clams what could go wrong? Ugh! I think they actually hired a chef who thought of ways to kill the dish.My advice, grab a chair sit on the deck have a cocktail and eat somewhere else!

We went there to celebrate my wife's 50th, er 55th....well whatever birthday. The restaurant had to have lobster on the menu and this restaurant did, so we went.We split an appetizer, fried calamari. It was outstanding. Not greasy or large rings or tentacles. Portion was perfect. My wife had a 2 1/2 lb lobster (broiled) which was perfect. Not rubbery at all. I had a shrimp and scallop scampi which was very good. All entrees come with a side salad, veggies and your choice of a potato. We were so full we settled on ice cream for dessert.Staff were very friendly and service was great. This restaurant was very reasonably price. When we walked in at 5:30, restaurant was empty. By the time we left at 7:30, it was crowded.Would we go back? Definitely.

Set Within One Of Long Islandâs Most Spectacular Waterfront Venues, Ocean Provides Guests With An Unparalleled Dining Experience And Setting. The Restaurantâs Architecture, Which Includes Floating Sculptures Of Fish Chasing Squid Through The Dining Room I
Beautiful restaurant. Magnificent view. I believe the restaurant is a little too large. I don't think the staff can handle it. We started outside for a couple of drinks for happy hour. That was fine. Came in for dinner and had the Thursday night lobster special. We started with salads which were fine, and a decent glass of wine. Our 1 1/2 pound lobsters came out and kudos to them, they were really 1 1/2 pounds. Being in the seafood business, we could tell. Needless to say, that is not always the case. After dinner however, we waited more than 45 minutes for dessert. I felt badly that people all over the restaurant were not served any food in that time. They said the kitchen was very backed up. The restaurant was far from busy, and some of the waiters were walking around with food and had no idea where it went?? I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars however, because what we had was cooked well, setting beautiful, and the price was right. I'm sure the other people in the restaurant that night will not be so generous!!

Long Island's premier beachfront wedding destination venue right on the Gold Coast. One wedding at a time. Perfect for all special celebrations, corporate events, and parties. It's Better at the Beach.
So, this place is GREAT. We got married here 22 years ago, and the food and atmosphere were still great on our 20th Anniversary. If you like the beach, you will love it here. Food is good, (not great), and very pricy. All ion all, I still love it here. In my eyes you come for the atmosphere. Sand, palm trees, and a tropical drink combined with a few appetizers all lead to an awesome evening. It is very gourmet if you like that sort of thing, or just have drinks!!!

Long Island's most popular neighborhood restaurants, Mill Creek Tavern serves seasonal robustly flavored, American cuisine in a relaxed setting of casual elegance. We offer a full dinner menu with daily specials in the dining room and the bar. Behind the
Mill Creek's one of our go-to places around the North Shore. The food is always great, staff is friendly and the place is cozy and well decorated. Bayville's a cute town and there's no way to get to MCT that doesn't involve a nice scenic drive along either Oyster Bay or the LI Sound. They have a menu with plenty of options from land-based to seafood, very good specials and nights with themes (Bavarian is really good). Good selection of drinks and beers on tap including local options round out the options. Well worth the trip!Thank you so much for that awesome detailed review. We greatly appreciate it and we appreciate you!! With Gratitude - Rich
