Our sons have come here in the past for wings, beers, and a good dance floor. So we figured it was time for us "Boomers" to give it a try. I can see why they enjoy it here as the bar is quite long, there is a very good selection of tap beers and alcohol, and the dance floor seems to take up more space than the seating area. There appear to be only about 10 booths for diners, plus a room of tables, off of and behind the bar and behind a curtain, so as to feel quite separated. As for our dining experience, we were pretty disappointed with two out of our three choices. The onion soup seemed quite bland, the nachos, for which we asked for extra cheese, did not come with much extra cheese at all (our waiter offered us more cheese before we even asked, so I guess he noticed the same thing that we did). On the positive side, the Chicken Veggie Sandwich was excellent with the perfect marrying of ingredients on the perfect size and style of bread. Our waiter was excellent.

This is a nice local bar/restaurant on Sunrise Highway near the Rockville train/bus station. There are specials: Happy Hour, NFL times, 3 course Price Fixe, Sat./Sun. Brunch. Lots of flat screen tv's throughout. Service was attentive and food was good. Can get loud at the bar, so don't come if you want an intimate experience. The night we were there a large group was playing darts and they were considerate of us in the dining area. There is also a nice outside area.

The food was actually very good. The hamburgers were excellent, tasty and not greasy. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. However, the milkshakes were the reason we came, and they were disappointing. The expensive shakes were supposed to be big, fancy and delicious. They were just big. The whipped cream tasted synthetic. The frosting tasted like glue. The shakes were so bad we couldnât drink them. And they didnât look like the beautiful shakes pictured on the menu.

My brother took me to Monaghanâs a couple of times. The owners are very friendly and seem to hire good staff with equally pleasant attitudes. Always a great welcome. Good range of beers and the food looks great...

The guacamole is made table side and is outstanding. You can choose mild, medium or spicy. Worth the visit all by itself.When I asked our waiter what to order he suggested the fajitas and they were very tasty and generous.In a great eating town, this is worth a visit.

Well dying for Mexican food I ate at Mexican place across the street I had Mesita months before. All show no go for over priced for small portions. Gave this place a try lets say you walk out Full. Sat at the bar Noelle the bartender very accommodating. Free warm chips with homemade salsa for a great beginning. For my hunger had sizzling chicken fajita was just perfect and no black beans I can take it or leave beans. Fresh guacamole a hint of goodness. With the smell and taste of onions and peppers and not over seasoned chicken on a warm tortilla.With sour cream fresh pico de gallo and not cheedar cheese a white delicious fresh cheese. Decor is a Mexican feel with Mexican songs adds to ambiance I see they deal with Doordash App that's a plus. Thanks for your great review Scotty! Yes you can dine here for brunch, fun affordable Tuesday nights, wild excitement on Thursday ladies nights- there's always something fun to drink, eat and enjoy at Parlay Gastropub. Always love their many beers, well crafted cocktails and the fact that they actually ID the younger looking clientele that comes drinking during all their special musical events. Plenty of yummy burger choices and especially go for their tater tots. Makes you feel like a kid again. Why fight the weekend crowds at brunch when there's so many yummy nights you can go to Parlay Gastropub? Parking can be a challenge in Rockville Centre but on weeknights after 6pm, you don't have to worry about the meters. Municipal parking lot across the street on Merrick Rd, just be careful crossing the street. Happy Eating and I'll see you around the tables! I prefer the standard tables in the rear than the high tops(although you would be closer to the long bar to grab a drink if you are that thirsty).

We ended up waiting nearly an hour to get in (we were a big group), but we all found the food excellent. Choose from a menu of items, or totally customize your own burger. This place excels at vegan and vegetarian options (or gluten free). Our entire party (9) loved it.

we had a fantastic meal tonight at RIVER MILL TAVERN for St Patricks Day. The service was on point; the food was TERRIFIC and our picky eaters did not materialize..... because everything we ordered was DELICIOUS!!we started with corn beef and cabbage egg rolls....which you must try.....there is still sunday to go eat there!!!!!!!then we ordered the shepherd's pie ****Delish!!*** the bangers colcannon......FABULOUS!!!! and the fish and chips.....light as a feather, delicate coating and crispy, tasty fries. we left stuffed (and took our leftovers for lunch tomorrow!!) and gladly go there again and again. don't miss the opportunity to eat here because you will be missing a terrific local restaurant which will restore your faith in eating at a well run establishment.

Perfect lunch - absolutely fabulous Lobster, Mac & Cheese for me - Bacon Cheeseburger for my guest had us know we would be back again. Food was that good. Minor flaw, who charges $2.00 or for that matter any amount of money for club soda?Raise the price of the burger by $2.00 but don't charge for a glass of seltzer.Beyond that, pretty damn good.
