A Birthday lunch for my Sister. She has been going to the Ale House for 30 years and chose it for her celebration. When we pulled up out front I was not sure but once inside we found very friendly folks and great food. Hard cider, margarita straight up with salt, homemade pea soup, hand prepared hamburgers (not frozen), fries and the carrot cake! My Sister must use a walker and there is a steep step, however, a patron jumped up from his seat and helped her in. On leaving the bartender helped her out. She left her fries to go on the table and another diner came out with them. Very friendly folks. Do yourself a favor and go. Wednesday night is Mexican night and you will find me there.

Situated on a beautiful executive, public golf course, just a few hundred yards off the main road. Open seven days a week all year round. Serving lunch, dinner and cocktails all in our newly renovated facility. A private banquet room for up to 60 people
Had dinner/lunch there several times. It;s the same good quality before they moved off of Rt 7. I haven't tried the ribs again but i'm hoping they are still the same great taste. I would like the burgers to not be patty's but everything else was great. One had fish - loved it, one is a vegitarian - loved the clam chowder and veggie wrap. It has a nice view but sometimes it gets too loud in the big room.

Our first time there...busy weeknight. We couldn't get a table on the patio without waiting 20 plus minutes so we sat inside. Every staff member was friendly and acknowledged us... whether they were going to take care of us or not. We had Caesar Salad... lettuce fresh and crispy, dressing good. Then we ate the meat lovers pizza. A little different.... nice thin-ish crust, meats were very good--nice spices and generous amount. Cheese was good and right texture. Could have used more red sauce. We definitely enjoyed though. They have a nice selection of beers both on draft and in the bottle which made my husband very happy.

My friends and I stopped here today for lunch and were totally satisfied with the food and service. We've been here before and come back often when in the area for lunch together. Our server was very attentive given she was the only one in the dining room. She is never at a loss for a friendly smile and kind word. They have great lunch specials as well as wonderful menu choices too.

Came here myself for a drink on a Friday night. I guess if they don't know you, you might have a hard time getting that drink from the bartender. Not a lot of patrons, and most seemed in a surly mood. I finally got my beer, punched it down, and hit the road...
We were looking for a causal small bar with good food. Corcoran's is just the place. All their food is homemade. The clam chowder was very good, grilled cheese sandwich perfect, and really good short ribs. Their meatloaf is one of their popular menu items. Daily specials and happy hour specials are available. Prices are really reasonable and the staff are friendly. It has that local bar feel where many people seem to be regulars, like Cheers. The tavern is not that large which gives it a comfy ambiance. Nothing fancy but a decent size bar and several tables and chairs. It can get noisy if you have a large group gathered. The whiskey selection is limited but there are ample choices. Parking lot provides convenient parking. Good food, cheap prices, attentive staff in a basic tavern environment. I think is a very good place to grab a drink and something to eat. It is a tavern atmosphere more than a family type restaurant.

We often meet my cousins here for dinner. It is a great restaurant for the variety of selections on their menu. The service has alway been great. Our server this night was Adam and he could not have been anymore accommodating. We like the atmosphere in their dinning room as it is conducive to table talk without having to shout to hear one another. The pasta and fish dish I got was delicious. There were plenty of clams, scallops and shrimp in my dish. The portion was sufficient to take some home. This is one of the better restaurants in the Capital District for a quality dinner evening out.

We always enjoy a stop at Brown's as we remember it from a long time ago as Brown and Moran's and then it was Uncle Sam's, but now its back to just Brown's. Good friendly bar tenders, great drinks and dinner. Sausages are excellent and so is their steak but there is a full burger and sandwich menu with appetizers too.

Three of us swung by Spindles before heading to Albany for a Siena game and all of us were delighted. We ended up ordering five small plates for everyone to share, Lobster Shooters, Bacon Wrapped Dates, Fried Deviled Eggs, Cheesy Artichoke Dip and Bacon Wrapped Chicken. That only left about a dozen other things we wanted to try. The portions filled all of us easily but we had to venture onto dessert. The Cannoli were fantastic and the Crème Brulee was tasty but a bit loose for my taste. I do like a more firm custard. So bottom line is the three of us left stuffed and satisfied and the total cost with two beers a piece was less than a hundred bucks. This place is great for laid back dining and our server Zack new the menu inside out and made great suggestions. I need to go back for the Savory Duck, Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sprouts, and Pierogi and Kielbasa. The combinations offered here seem sort of endless. Great service, food and atmosphere.
