Looking for seafood in Patchogue, Trip Adviser suggested Catch and we weren't disappointed. Tired of calamari with boring marinara sauce. Try their Thai version! Tender pieces, including tentacles perfectly cooked then covered with a sweet and slightly spicy sauce accompanied by crisp apple pieces and walnuts. Outstanding! Their oyster selection is varied with offerings from various sources along the northern east coast. My wife had the baked oysters, large Fire Island Blues with a light sauce. I had the Naked Cowboy and Beach Blonde oysters on the half shell plump and with a mild brine taste. For my hot entree I had the clams casino cherry stones with the traditional toppings. Very tasty. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It is a small establishment and while seating was quick on a Tuesday, seating might be tight on weekends.

We tried this restaurant as someplace different then our usual eateries. The reviews were good and the menu on their web site looked amazing and now having eaten there can honestly say both were correct. The night we were there the place was jammed packed (reservations are highly recommended) so our waiter was a bit overwhelmed and that was the only neg. of our experience. Even with the crowd and our waiter a little slow getting to us and checking in once and a while (like forgetting our bread, slow getting our drinks, not checking to see if we needed anything, etc...) all was mostly forgiven once our food arrived. I had the baked lasagna and growing up an Italian NY'er I know my pasta's and what's good and what's not. This lasagna was among the best I've had (not as good as my nonnina's though). And everyone we dined with that night raved about each of their dishes. The prices were not cheap, but not over the top either. The atmosphere had a sort of a clean, industrial type feel. The soft lighting helped, but the noise level all around us was high. I gave it 4 stars for the reasons mentioned above: very, very crowded, waiter was overwhelmed and we had to keep flagging him down for service and a little too noisy for me, but oh the food, the food was amazing and would rate 5 stars. Perhaps a slower night or different time slot for our visit and it would have received an overall 5 stars, maybe(?). For me, when I write a review and score it's rating, for a place to earn 5 stars ALL the elements must be worthy of 5 stars. I do however recommend trying this restaurant and because the menu had so many tantalizing, appealing options leaving me wanting to taste and what we did have was that good I know we'll be going back.

Walk in mid week, served promptly and pleasantly. Good list of specials, good draft list. Apps: Sayville Fries, VERY good. Fried Calimari, Excellent! Dinners were all very good Attentive, friendly server. Smart move: 8 peeps for dinner, brought a pitcher for the table for ice water. A recurrent family favorite.
I only say surprisingly because the prior business there was an average bar with below average bar food. We visited in early August on a Friday night and it was unusually uncrowded. We sat outside, owner (or manager, not sure) was very chatty and welcoming to us. There were 2 adults and 1 child. We had also bought the groupon for $19 which was good for $40 worth of food. i ordered a veggie wrap, my husband and son ordered burgers and we had wings. The food came out hot and was very flavorful, service was great and atmosphere was fun. We will definitely go back. We wanted to play the corn hole game they had set up, but someone keeps stealing their bean bags, so next time we'll bring our own!

In the heart of downtown Patchogue, Bobbique serves diners from all over New York the best in Beer, Bourbon, Barbecue and Blue Entertainment. Few places can claim they truly encompass a unique culture of a community, and Bobbique's is one of those places.
We found our large family group of 18 adults without somewhere to eat, last minute on a Saturday night. While other restaurants we called pretty much didnât even think about saying yes, the host and hostess at Bobbique made it happen for us! I suspect they reopened a dining room they had cleaned and closed already and may have asked a server to stay later than expected (based on my experience in restaurant work). Everyone we came into contact with was gracious, friendly and polite! Everyone in our large group really enjoyed his or her food! Lots of great apps but definitely loved the âsausage stuffed giant pretzel!â Lots if people got brisket and pulled pork and it was great. Excellent craft beer selection and the bartender made a fantastic margarita! Thanks to all for taking us last minute and making it a great event for us! We will be back and will definitely recommend you to others! We're so happy you had a great time with us and we were able to help get some food in your stomachs! Thank you so much for leaving us a review, we can't wait to have you all back soon!

I like going to Reese's. It is a really cool pub, very old would like you are in a saloon. They have great burgers and soups, pastrami sandwiches, reubens etc. The service is great too. Sorry for no pics, I ate too fast! The staff is great as well.

Went here during Festival, typically closed on Sunday but open with limited menu. Service was excellent even considering they were closing soon. Never rushed nice and food was prepared fresh and delicious. Nothing fancy but enjoyable as well as being reasonable. If in area, wirth a visit

Went to "Cavanaugh's" for the first time today...it will NOT be the last time!! Lunch with two friends was fabulous. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our selections, and the servings were quite ample in size. The menu is quite varied, so there is something on it for everyone. Personally, I had a hard time narrowing down what I wanted to order, as there were so many great choices. Service was prompt, and friendly, and the food delicious...what more can I say, other than do yourself a favor, and stop by "Cavanaugh's" yourself!!

Based on good reviews we decided to give it a try. We really enjoyed our 2 visits the past few weeks. The food is all made in house, including the breads. We enjoyed the artichokes, ribs, sea scallops, kale salad, crab cakes, and the drinks were awesome! Megan and Victoria took really good care of us and we we're pleased that the drinks were still great with a different staff member mixing them up during our return visit! Consistency is important and they nailed it. It's a cute little restaurant so plan ahead and get a reservation.

Jessica Governali and I just enjoyed a great Sunday afternoon âdate nightâ. If youâve never been to Grey Horse Tavern in Bayport, you really should. What a well run and special place it is. Itâs a faithfully restored tavern from the 19th century that focuses on locally sourced food and drink and locally grown musical talent. Long Island has so much to offer from both of those worlds, and these guys absolutely nail it on all fronts. Great service too - friendly, considerate, and well-trained. Today, we saw the legendary Gene Casey do an acoustic set with his incredibly talented friend, Jeff Allegue. Best live music Iâve seen this year. Guitar play between these two guys suggested that they are Siamese twins, and they both sing with passion and great skill. Mr Casey is a direct connection to the era of Sun Records (Cash, Elvis, or Perkins - take your pick), and Roy Orbison in his prime. Heâs incredibly unique - a treasure. Mr. Allegue reminded me very much of Elvis Costello and Marshall Crenshaw, and blew us away with a great cover of âAllisonâ. Other highlights included âBlackbirdâ by the Beatles, âNadineâ by Chuck Berry, the Johnny Cash arrangement of âSunday Morning Coming Downâ and Gordon Lightfootâs âEarly Morning Rainâ. Mr Caseyâs original songs were also smoking good. Grey Horse is about to celebrate their tenth year in business - man, I hope they stick around for another ten. They are good for Long Island.
