Truly top notch pizza for the Utica area, both the NY style and the House, which is Utica style, or "upside down". Of course, this is not a fine restaurant. Although I have eaten in for lunch, I would avoid it as it is very crowded, a tiny space.Good pizza is just so hard to define. For me, this is it. Excellent crust. Their salads and such are also quite good, but I really think this is the best pizza in the area. And I have been to many places.
My husband & I were driving through Utica, wanted Pizza and we stopped here. The pizza was great. They people were extremely friendly and hospitable. They also sold Pasticiotti from a local bakery that were excellent. I would recommend and would stop again.
Rosario's is an excellent pizzeria located right in the heart of East Utica. It has excellent food, excellent service and an excellent atmosphere. While waiting for your food you can sit down and watch TV or listen to the jazzy music from the speakers in the ceiling. The food tastes great, service is fast and the atmosphere makes you feel comfortable! Great restaurant, I highly recommend it.

This is the "North" location, located in a strip mall. I stopped into try what looked like a unique twist on Pizza, sauce as the topping. I saw the wings though and had to give them a try and in the end, I think they were the star of the show. I had never been here and wasn't sure how things worked. They have a cafeteria style counter and seating in back. I ordered a small round pepperoni pizza, a pound of Medium wings and a Labatt's Blue which came to $21 something. My pizza came out quick and I had an interesting taste and texture, but was good. Then the wings came out, just drenched in sauce, which i thought was a great thing. I had to get up and ask for silverware and grab a plate, this wasn't your traditional sit down service style restaurant. I would be back for the wings and perhaps the pizza if I was looking to mix things up a bit.

Hungry and tired from shopping at Big Lots Plaza, I asked a lady in the parking lot carrying a pizza box where she got it and if it was good. She grinned, pointed to Charlie's Pizza, a simple-looking storefront that opened into a large, welcoming restaurant with THE BEST meat-lover's pizza slices I'd ever had! Wonderful waitress, Kelly made us feel welcome and festive. Told us about the place and about their specialty, Utica style Chicken Riggies.Next time we went back, equally cordial Tracy brought us a 'small' pizza to share, but we were too full to even think of Riggies to go. Third visit, Kelly remembered us. I'd been dreaming of meat-lover's, but my friend ordered the Chicken Riggies. One taste and I ordered some to go. The sauce is amazing and the chicken and rigatoni reheated beautifully that night for hubby and me. Did I mention portions are generous? Prices reasonable? They also have a restaurant in Hannaford Plaza in Washington Mills, and Colonial Plaza in Whitesboro. I only wish Charlie's would open something near Cooperstown, but we'll be happy regulars when in their neighborhoods. The Digtristina family started as produce farmers and have since brought their skill and dedication to the table! The menu says, "We treat our customers like friends and our friends like family" Truth!

We had their pizza, street corn, fried broccoli, cannoli and drinks. This pizza was very good. The street corn was basically corn on the cob with chipotle sauce and could have used some cheese. The fried broccoli was a little dry and could have used some sauce. The cannoli was good. We tried two of their cocktails. The strawberry mule was tasty but the blueberry lemonade was too sweet.

Franco's Pizza & Deli provides comfort food such as pizza, calzones, fresh wings, subs, and more to the Utica, NY area.
Was driving on interstate and needed food. Stopped at Franco's. Had a veal sub and my wife had the lasagna. Both were outstanding. Place was very busy with folks coming in to pick up pizza, wings and subs. Based on my food, betting the wings and pizza are also really good. Definitely making this a normal stop just off the thruway.

We ordered wings from Lukins for takeout. They were grilled and medium spicy Buffalo style. The wings were perfectly cooked and spiced. We really liked the grilled-in flavor. These wings were a bit pricey for this area (I have found cheaper) but part of the price was that they were grilled. When picking up the food, I was impressed by the restaurant itself -- very attractive seating areas, nice selection of beers on tap, etc. I was expecting much less in Utica. This place seems like a very nice place to go out for pizza, wings, and beer.

I recently moved to Utica from Syracuse and had to try this pizza which people all over town rave about. Maybe that was too much hype to live up to because I was disappointed. The upside down style of cheese covered by the sauce rather than on top isn't a draw for me.

Based upon trip advisor recommendations, I stopped by and was quite pleasantly surprised. They have a delicious crust and tomato sauce with several options for toppings. The best part is their special which are 2 HUGH slices and a drink for $6.50. That's a deal where I come from. Not exactly NYC pizza but it was VERY good for upstate. Will be back. Was satiated with 2 slices.
