This is my 2nd review of Gia's, the 1st written a few years ago. The reason for an updated review is my disappointment in all my visits since. Note: this is for the pizza side only. Saturday afternoon, 4pm. I was a few miles away and my daughter wanted pizza. Upon entering, the counter was pretty bare, and anything resembling pizza was burnt looking and old. It's nice to see the same miserable faces behind the counter. They don't smile or pay attention to you for longer than the few seconds it takes to take your order. They put the pizza in the oven and move on to the next person. Every. Single. Time. I have to ask them to take my food out. If I don't, it gets overcooked, crust burnt. They never give a receipt nor are there signs anywhere telling you how much anything is. Chicken bacon ranch slice? I think he called it? Old, hard chicken, cheddar cheese? And no ranch anywhere. Threw most of it out. The pepperoni pinwheel is always good. And the regular slice was ok. There were no knives or napkins in the dispensers. The garbage was full. The tables and floors were absolutely disgusting. I just stood there waiting for the young girl at the door to stop looking at us and get someone to wipe down a table. She finally looked annoyed enough and did it herself. I wish I could say that it was a one time deal, but the past few times we drove out of our way, it's just been bad. I'm disappointed. I used to love going here. What happened Gia's?

I think that their Pizza is usually excellent and they have a large selection too. I bought the Wednesday night special large cheese pie last week for $11.95 added sausage, peppers and onions at $3.00 for each topping. $9.00 for toppings isnât the problem. The problem is the sausage was not slices and could not be found. They used shavings or ultra thin (paper thin slices) which you could not see or even taste on the pie. I never saw that before in 30 years of eating at this joint! I also ordered a dozen and a half of chicken wings as a treat to the family. Terrible - my family of 4 tried to eat them but couldnât. They where not crisp, slightly under cooked and drowned in a sauce that was tasteless. Threw them out! Cook must have had a bad day. I think this is the first time they disappointed us so I will go back and try again but will eat at the store like I usually do. Sorry but this was a bad dinning experience that was too costly at $45 bucks for 1 large pie and 18 wings.
Love eating here. Great salads and pasta as well as panini's. Also great wine selection. Just don't care for if your two people they will not allow you to sit in a larger table. No matter what time it is very uncomfortable if your two. Tables are to small.

Their pizza is not exactly your tradition pizzeria pie, but it is fantastic. A crispier, buttery crust that reminds me of a deep dish without the thickness. I recommend ordering a meatball/pepperoni pie with extra sauce (or as they call it "juicy") Add a house salad with their amazing garlicky creamy Italian dressing. Incredible combo.

This is the only place I order pizza from. There are a bunch of pizza places in the area and they all fail. Most close within a few months. Every other pizza place tastes like crap around here. Being from Brooklyn, I am a bit spoiled when it comes to pizza. I didn't think I would ever find a decent pizza place out here. I have had a few good slices on Long Island, but nothing in the Shirley / Mastic Beach area until Nino's. Nothing really compares to L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn, but these guys do a legit job. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Have been here a few times on different occasions and the food has always been great! The Linguine Al Nero was excellent!

Before I ordered I went to their web site. I looked at the menu and the Heros are $6.75 each and 80 cents for parm. I ordered two Heros, one with parm. When I arrived to pick up my order I was asked if I had any coupons, I did not. I have been to many places that use coupons and when you don't have them they will charge you the coupon price. They did not. The total was $17.18. They wouldn't even give me a military discount and they charged at least a $1.50 more per hero then the price on the menu on the web site. The sausage and pepper hero should be called pepper hero. Good luck finding a sausage. I have had better. I will go somewhere else next time!

Absolutely love this pizzeria. Food is always piping hot and pizza is always perfect. We call in advance to pick up and it can sometimes be 30-45 minute wait but it's always worth it.

visited here last Sunday with my wife and son and i have nothing but raves for the place. the food was tasty and plentiful, served piping hot. the Sunday menu specials were wonderful and reasonably priced at $20 and under. they include soup or salad, entree, dessert and coffee. the wait staff was friendly and attentive. both the owner and cook take an active role in the dining room, circulating among the guests to make sure all is well. We canât wait to return. best first time restaurant iâve been to in ages. absolutely loved Mama Lisa.
