Panza's bakery opened its doors in Mechanicville in 1897. That was the first time Upstate New York experienced the delicious Neapolitan style brick oven baked pizza and other secret family recipes our relatives brought with them from the old country. Ma P
On a recent visit, we were delighted to find that Panza's had opened up in a new location. The same great food, the same great service, but with a much different vibe due to the unique architecture and construction of this stone-walled and stone-decorated structure. Appetizer's of Ma Panza's meatballs and smoked burrata were generous and imaginatively presented, with the burrata arriving under a bell jar full of smoke. My wife's chicken piccata was a generous portion with plenty of lemony sauce, while my veal saltimbocca was properly sliced, spiced, and dressed with sage, butter and pepper. The accompanying sauteed spinach was done just right, with plenty of garlic, which I love. Good, competent wines accompanied the meal, and we left fully satisfied in mind and stomach. We will return.

Although the chicken in the chicken Parmesan was good the marinara sauce was poor. It was spicy. There were eight drink selections and of them they only had the ingredients to make six. They didnât have mint or green tea. How about going to the grocery store. The bread and Service were both excellent.

Authentic Italian, organic pasta creations and true wood-fired pizza in a neighborhood setting. Italian specialties and a variety of pizzas from our wood fired oven! Outstanding wine and beer offerings. We do accept reservations for parties of all sizes a
Our horse racing group really loved the Beekman Street Bistro and were saddened when it closed. Its successor on Beekman Street did not disappoint. It is a smart, casual, modern Italian restaurant with excellent offerings both of food and wine. My octopus main was cooked to perfection and my colleagues porchetta was both generous and delicious. The wine list is very well curated and previous endorsements of Lila, our server were fully deserved. Her enthusiasm is infectious and her attentiveness and serving skills really made our evening. Would recommend without reservation.Grazie mille! We are thrilled that you enjoyed your experience and do hope that you will return! I will pass your kind words on to Lila! We were also huge fans of Beekman Street Bistro and are pleased that you find us a worthy successor to the space. Cheers!

Wandering around Saratoga Springs on Broadway street we didnât know where to go... ended up on the outside dinning area of the Wheatfields restaurant. Amazing service by Jerry (our waiter) for the evening... who went above and beyond to make our party of 6 have a really special evening. The food was delicious ... appetizers and main course ...were fantastic. Unfortunately we didnât have room for the dessert, which looked so good. We tried some unique fresh food and we all loved it!

Arrived early for our dinner reservation intending to have a drink at the bar. However, the hostess seated us at our table which was nice. I had the blueberry lemonade cocktail which was very refreshing. Our waitress was very friendly and informed about the food.I had clams Oregon at a and my husband had the shrimp version, both delicious. Then I had the penne alla Sicilians with sausage, tomatoes, eggplant. Loved it! The hubby had the rigatoni Bolognaâs which he loved. Highly recommend for great Italian food!

Anchoring Saratoga's vibrant downtown Forno Bistro is a family-owned bistro that offers a variety of rustic, Tuscan-style food rooted in tradition. Our chef's use only the freshest seasonal ingredients to prepare dishes with respect to their flavors, appe
Try to get a table on the front porch. The service was excellent and there is a nice ambiance - casual, fun and low key. We shared a Caesar salad and pizza which was plenty of food for us (2 women). The pizza crust is really thin, which we prefer but I know thatâs not for everyone. If we werenât interested in trying other local restaurants, weâd definitely go here again on this trip.Thank you so much for your review! We look forward to having you dine with us again soon.

Overall, we had a good experience at the restaurant. I'll outline the good and the not so good below. We made a reservation for four over the phone. I was asked if this was a special occasion and replied that it was a birthday. I also noted that we had a member of our party with a gluten allergy. At the restaurant, no one noted the birthday or the allergy information. Once the allergy issue was mentioned by us to our server, it was handled well and successfully. We also requested a table in as quiet a part of the restaurant as possible. When we were seated, the area seemed much more quiet than the area through which we walked to reach it. However, within about 30 minutes of our arrival, this area, too, was quite loud. We were at the restaurant for about two hours and by the 1.5 hour mark, the general noise was uncomfortable for normal conversation. We were served by a waiter, with a secondary helper the entire night. They were knowledgeable and polished. They were also very attentive for the first 2/3 of our evening. As the restaurant grew more crowded, they became less so. While two hours total wasn't unreasonable for this meal by any means, we had to track them down at the end to get a bill and then again to pay it.The food itself was quite good and as I said, they were able to accommodate our gluten free needs easily.I started with a buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad that was really, really good. Simpe, but flavorful indeed. My main coarse was a pork shank osso buco that was just as good. I skipped desert as I was quite full.Everyone else at our table also indicated that their meals and wine were delicious. If it were not for the noise of the restaurant, I'd have no qualms about returning. However, if you want to have a conversation with your dinner companion at a normal volume, you might consider another option. And this was after race season ended. I can only imagine what it is like during high season.Good Morning Matthew, Thank you for the review. I am sorry and very disappointed that your overall dining experience waas not up to the standards we work very hard to achieve for each and every guests. Our team is usually on point when it comes to special requests and even more diligent with an allergy. Hearing that both of these were overlooked is very disappointing. The noise level of the restaurant is something we are always working on. The open kitchen concept and a busy restaurant makes it a bit of a struggle but we are currently in the process of working with a sound engineer to add some details that should help with this are. Our guest feedback is very important as it provides me with an insight to continue to coach and train our staff. If you would consider reaching out to me directly I would like to apologize to you. Sincerely, Nancy Bambara ([email protected])

A small, American-Italian restaurant in the heart of Saratoga Springs, New York with an evolving menu to match the palate of Chef Danny, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients when available. Come as friends, leave as family.
Just pulling into Saratoga for an overnight...where to eat ?.....zeroed in on Italian....Danny had a lot of good reviews on Tripadvisor....we checked with the locals first to confirm...we squeezed in a reservation on a busy Friday night...all good. The Owners Danny and Patty were hands-on with the clientele...we like that approach....they want you to know who's putting on the experience. Yes....this place is great....the food is a 10....and...its reasonably priced.
