A family-run restaurant serving Northern Italian inspired cuisine in the heart of the Kingston Stockade district.
Our dinner was fabulous. Upon entering, we couldn't help but notice the well appointed atmosphere. The service was fantastic and the food was just delicious. I say we had "dinner." We didn't have any entrees, but were completely satisfied. I enjoyed one of the salad specials and an appetizer portion of the Eggplant Parm. I loved that the eggplant was not fried and breaded; it was roasted and perfectly cooked. Though we didn't really "need" dessert, we indulged in an order of the chocolate cake with hazelnut gelato. Rather than using wheat flour, almond flour was used, and it was simply amazing. There is no doubt that we will be back again. Palizzata is truly a treasure!

This is, by far, the best pizza to be found in Kingston. My only complaint is that they don't deliver, but as the owner says, he's got plenty of business every night without delivery, so why complicate things? The pizzeria is family-owned, by a family with a long history of pizza making in the Kingston/Saugerties area, and that family love of pizza shows in the product.

We ate here while staying at the Residence Inn next door. The food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient and the prices for the portions were very reasonable. We had the chicken parm and the eggplant parm along with an awesome antipasto salad.

I ordered veal parmagian with spaghetti. It came with a salad and bread. The salad andbread were great. When the main entree came, I had to send it back the veal was burned on both sides. It was so over cooked it was tasteless. The waitress ordered mechicken with eggplant instead. The second dish was okay but it was under cooked. Ihave eatened there before and the food was always good. I do not know what wentwrong.

Great 5.00 lunch specials. Two slices with an assortment of toppings and a drink. Can't beat that. All types of slices. Fast, east, cheap, and good.

Such a disappointing dinner! I ordered eggplant parm with ziti â the eggplant tasted old and the ziti was mushy and not freshly cooked â I didnât eat any of it and brought it home for my dogs but decided that I couldnât even feed it to them for fear it would make them sick. My son ordered the chicken marsala over linguini and was very disappointed â the linguini was all stuck together. We also ordered a white pizza â the pizza was okay, but very skimpy on the toppings. Sorry for the poor review, but La Florentina needs to pay closer attention to the quality of what they serve and start serving fresh food!

This place is great for old fashioned Italian food, the bread they serve you along with some bruschetta is very hard/tough to chew though. I got the apple crisp for desert and wasnât very flavorful at all but the salmon was amazing and my husband loved his chicken Alfredo meal!

I have to eat gluten-free because of health issues. It is not a fad diet for me, but a life-and-death thing. So I always make a friendly point of letting service staff know that right up front, because almost every restaurant has something I can eat, and I just need their guidance in case something Iâm looking at on the menu has hidden gluten. I also always check the menu before going somewhere new. This menu indicates that they have some gluten-free pasta. Our waiter here started by making fun of me when I let him know my issue. Then he turned to my friend and asked if she wanted extra gluten with her meal. I ordered a steak, and was told the side dish was spaghetti. Gluten-free? Oh, he says, surprised, okay, well, we can substitute gluten-free pasta. My main course came out with a huge hunk of bread in the middle of the plate. What about âI have to eat this way because of serious health issuesâ is difficult to understand? Why, if Iâm paying for service, being nice, and tipping generously, is it a greater inconvenience to the waiter to take care of me and not act like a (TripAdvisor will not allow me to refer to the waiterâs behavior as being similar to a jack donkey), than the inconvenience to me of several weeks of digestive issues and colitis as well as further gut damage and further future surgery?I eat out a lot. But it wonât be here again.

Great family owned Italian restaurant. They do a great job on all Italian dishes. I often get their burgers at lunchtime but got the special salad topped with grilled chicken. My buddy got a salad topped with grilled salmon. Fresh and delicious. And they but the best garlic bread on the table as soon as you arrive. Wonderful friendly staff. It's a regular stop for lunch or dinner.

Four of us had excellent meals: pasta fagioli soup, meatball parm sub, eggplant parmigiano and the most mussels I've ever been served in a Fra diavolo sauce. Everyone enjoyed their including a nice piece of cheesecake. Carl our server was excellent and I assume the owner Christina stopped by.
