Reviews on Italian food in Irvington, New York, United States. Irvington, sometimes known as Irvington-on-Hudson, is an affluent suburban village in the town of Greenburgh in Westchester County, New York, United States. It is located on the eastern bank of the Hudson River, 20 miles (32 km) north of midtown Manhattan in New York City, and is served by a station stop on the Metro-North Hudson Line. To the north of Irvington is the village of Tarrytown, to the south the village of Dobbs Ferry, and to the east unincorporated parts of Greenburgh, including East Irvington. Irvington includes within its boundaries the community of Ardsley-on-Hudson, which has its own ZIP code and Metro-North station, but which should not be confused with the nearby village of Ardsley, New York.

We've been coming to this family-run shop for years because we really like their pizza. We've also ordered other menu items like sandwiches, buffalo wings, and fried ravioli, and they were all delicious. There are a few small tables inside if you want to eat there, and they deliver too. They've also generously provided pizza for school and community events which is another reason why we gladly support their business.

Six-time World Pizza Champion, restaurateur, and television personality, Bruno DiFabio is thrilled to bring his award-winning pizza to Irvington. Nicknamed "The Lord of the Pies," the Food Network veteran and judge on Chopped, Bruno is the leading pizza a
We read a recent review in Westchester Magazine about this place which specifically highlighted stuffed pizza slices with garlic knot crusts! The picture looks scrumptious and we were so excited to try that! When we walked in, the place was small and empty and the pizza on display looked completely average and like it had been sitting there for a while (that nice congealed look). When we asked if we could order stuffed pizza with the garlic knot crusts, the three guys behind the counter looked at us as if we had two heads and gave us plenty of odd and weak excuses, "We don't have any of that today. We don't make that every day." We weren't the only people who were lured by that review and they seemed confused. We left disappointed and annoyed. Why promote something you don't make or don't have? We won't be back.

Only visiting Westchester every few months, I dine at Casaletto every visit. I sometimes forget just how outstanding it is. I have spent a long, happy lifetime traveling the world, including many trips to every part of Italy. Casaletto is the best Italian restaurant In the world, at least in my experience. Tonight I shared the spectacular grilled polpo (octopus) with my wife and daughter. Often I have enjoyed Casalettoâs perfect veal chop. On a whim I decided to try the special stuffed veal chop. Iâll never go back to their outstanding but more normal veal chop. I tasted everyone elseâs appetizers and mains - all as good as you can get anyplace. We all shared wonderful tiramisu and cannoli for dessert. The secret to Casaletto is that it is owned and managed by Italian-born waiters who live their Italian food. At least a couple of these owner-managers are always on the floor, moving from table to table, insuring that all service is tops and that the food served is cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Dining out doesnât get any better.

Went with friends last night. Our first visit.OK, hard to find and certainly not fancy. But not fancy aside, the visit was perfect. The wait staff knowledgeable and funny. All of a sudden this tiny jewel in Irvington went from "not fancy to cozy".Yes, BYOB was a plus and in addition they have bar service if you want something other than wine.OK...menu was simple with specials and every dish was wonderful. Surely you made us fans.We will be back.Thank you

Had dinner at this old italian restaurant staple in Dobbs Ferry. It was worth it. The food was brought out hot and ready to eat.Everything we had was excellent and we would easily go back.I must say the ambiance could use a major overhaul. The italian cheese cake was the best for desert/oh yes, one more thing- clams casino was made with too much breading and not enough garlic or clams.

My mother in law always picks The Cookery for our brunch with her after the New Year. We are always seated at the same table, even without asking, and now we refer to it as our table. The brunch menu is mostly the same, but with so many great dishes to choose from we are fine with it. We all mixed it up this time, except for my husband who always orders the shredded pig. My crostini with ricotta was moist, flavorful, and if I did not know what was coming next, I would have asked for more! I had the seafood special of the day, which were delicious scallops with broccoli rabe and a sauce that I was not crazy about, but I was easily able to push it to the side. The dessert was amazing, both the sticksbutta pie and the chocolate polenta. One thing different was that the other times we were there for brunch the chef sent out plates of items we had not ordered or little treats. This time we only received one plate of yummy muffins and scones, but we were offered seconds on dessert (too full to say yes). The service has been consistently great and we cannot wait to try the owners new British Gastro Pub on Cedar Street. One criticism is that the music is always way too loud for us, but maybe it is just bothersome to us at our stage in life.

Got take out from Capri when were staying at a hotel right down the road. Place was suggested by the front desk. Man were they right about this place! Extensive pizza and Italian menu. Food was ready by the time I arrived(20 min). Prices are great and can't say enough how big the portions are. My kids each had individual pizzas that they could've split and been very full.(In the picture). We ordered: -Individual chicken/bacon/ranch pizza that was delicious.-Individual chicken parm pizza, also amazing.-Chicken parm hero. Excellent! Not included on the menu was the fact that they have a gelato bar. I got 3 small s for us. Cookie dough, peanut butter fudge and Dark chocolate. All were delicious. The wait staff was friendly and got me in and out with my order very fast. Would definitely eat here again.

first, parking can be a challenge. be patient. you may have to park a block or two away on a saturday night and the hill is serious. we had a fantastic meal and dining experience. arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation and were seated at the beginning of the seating area - near the bar and kitchen entrance. had some concerns but was pleasantly surprised because the restaurant ended up packed and the noise level in the main part of the restaurant was beyond our tolerance and the good news was that our table was away from the tumult and the noise was quite tolerable.the chef-owner, william, stood near our table to greet guests, clear tables, take orders, deliver food and manage the traffic of guests who arrived. he was calm, professional and gracious for the entire time we were there. as they say - patients of a saint. i could tell within about three minutes that he was an owner by the way he behaved and dealt with guests. he said that for restaurant week he puts his most popular and favorite items on the menu. and everything was truly delicious. full size portions. just a great overall experience.in the summer there is outdoor seating w a view of the hudson. nice.

Welcome to Piccola Trattoria! We are proud to be a 2015 Best of Westchester Winner and have received great reviews by the media, including The New York Times! Piccola Trattoria is a great place to spend quality time over delicious and authentic Italian cu
Friends, devoted fans of Piccola and "foodies" in their own right, suggested we dine together at this tiny destination restaurant and we were wowed! Small, yes...but big on flavors--and portions as well. You will not go home hungry, Wonderful and intimate atmosphere, with a warm welcome at the door--you're immediately "family". Attentive but unobtrusive wait staff, very professional. Kudos to Chef Sergio and his lovely wife, every aspect of your dining experience is finely tuned. Nice selection of wines to please any budget. Highly recommend the calamari pepe and baked meatball appetizers (latter is easily shared). Standout entrees included paccheri bolognese and a butterflied, pounded pork chop, both off the charts. All four of us were sadly too stuffed for dessert, but adjacent tables had diners swooning over several delightful looking offerings. Piccola goes far beyond your typical Italian red sauce venue with thoughtfully prepared taste sensations, it will not disappoint. Go! Enjoy! D. Slater, New City

We love going to Mima for regular dinners or big group events. We go there a few times a every year. My friend threw a 40th birthday for his wife here and it was done well in the back room. The best dish is the orechetti and always try the wines they have featured. We have tried all the dishes multiple times and they are all very consistent. The service is very friendly and accomodating too. Would recommend polpette, any fish entree and all pastas.
