Mima is what we call our grandmothers and it is how we present our endeavor to you, a restaurant that remembers the classics and modern world. From food to wine, everything has the heart of our past. We invite you to our location in Irvington to experienc
We love going to Mima for regular dinners or big group events. We go there a few times a every year. My friend threw a 40th birthday for his wife here and it was done well in the back room. The best dish is the orechetti and always try the wines they have featured. We have tried all the dishes multiple times and they are all very consistent. The service is very friendly and accomodating too. Would recommend polpette, any fish entree and all pastas.
This pizza was served at a party given locally. Everyone gobbled up the pizza. I don't eat pizza but the empty boxes shows that they loved it. We have also served it in our home and the family has given it a thumbs up.

Yes, the food and service were very good and reasonably priced for the quality and service. However, a big disappointment was there was no lunch menu although it was lunch time. On La Catena's website it shows the lunch menu for the weekends, so an explanation should have been offered as to only offering a dinner menu. The restaurant is attractive and there is ample parking in the strip mall's parking lot.

San Gennaro serves pretty good pizza and subs, although they don't seem to be Italian, much less Neapolitan, as their store's name would denote (he's the patron saint of Napoli, for those who may wonder). Obviously a near total Hispanic-Central American-Mexican staff, most of whom were a little noisy and rowdy (yelling out orders in Spanish) and some of whom were hard to understand in either English or Spanish. I could not get through to one caballero my very basic order of "two slices, one pepperoni, the other margherita," and ironically ordering the latter type is very close to the Spanish pronunciation of marguerita. Okay, so it's a take out eat a slice kind of pizza place and what do I expect after all. Much better slices elsewhere.

It's a small neighborhood restaurant family run with amazing food and great service! The pizza is incredible if that's all you want. The food is fresh and delicious! They serve homemade rolls that come right out of the oven. The salads are very generous as well as the plates of food. They only serve beer and wine along with soda. It's a must try. I almost regret writing this review cause I've never waited for a table :), but they deserve the recognition. The special appetizer almond crusted Shrimp in a chili aioli sauce was yummy! I forgot to take a picture of our pasta dishes, it was papadella with mushrooms and fresh mozzarella and I had gnocchi in a five cheese sauce. Absolutely delicious!!!! A must go to!!! Small but amazing!

Party of 3 on a weekday night. Place was full but we were seated promptly. First thing you notice is the noise. Everyone talking loudly but donât let this stop you from eating here. The food is very good. The portions are large. The service is good. The prices are very reasonable.

We had dinner the other night at Scaramellaâs restaurant in Dobbâs Ferry. We had the white fish in a tomato sauce with calamari and the pork osso bucco. Both were very good. The staff was friendly and efficient. They seemed to have a loyal clientele. The food was served very hot.

Had dinner at this old italian restaurant staple in Dobbs Ferry. It was worth it. The food was brought out hot and ready to eat.Everything we had was excellent and we would easily go back.I must say the ambiance could use a major overhaul. The italian cheese cake was the best for desert/oh yes, one more thing- clams casino was made with too much breading and not enough garlic or clams.

My mother in law always picks The Cookery for our brunch with her after the New Year. We are always seated at the same table, even without asking, and now we refer to it as our table. The brunch menu is mostly the same, but with so many great dishes to choose from we are fine with it. We all mixed it up this time, except for my husband who always orders the shredded pig. My crostini with ricotta was moist, flavorful, and if I did not know what was coming next, I would have asked for more! I had the seafood special of the day, which were delicious scallops with broccoli rabe and a sauce that I was not crazy about, but I was easily able to push it to the side. The dessert was amazing, both the sticksbutta pie and the chocolate polenta. One thing different was that the other times we were there for brunch the chef sent out plates of items we had not ordered or little treats. This time we only received one plate of yummy muffins and scones, but we were offered seconds on dessert (too full to say yes). The service has been consistently great and we cannot wait to try the owners new British Gastro Pub on Cedar Street. One criticism is that the music is always way too loud for us, but maybe it is just bothersome to us at our stage in life.

Welcome to Piccola Trattoria! We are proud to be a 2015 Best of Westchester Winner and have received great reviews by the media, including The New York Times! Piccola Trattoria is a great place to spend quality time over delicious and authentic Italian cu
Friends, devoted fans of Piccola and "foodies" in their own right, suggested we dine together at this tiny destination restaurant and we were wowed! Small, yes...but big on flavors--and portions as well. You will not go home hungry, Wonderful and intimate atmosphere, with a warm welcome at the door--you're immediately "family". Attentive but unobtrusive wait staff, very professional. Kudos to Chef Sergio and his lovely wife, every aspect of your dining experience is finely tuned. Nice selection of wines to please any budget. Highly recommend the calamari pepe and baked meatball appetizers (latter is easily shared). Standout entrees included paccheri bolognese and a butterflied, pounded pork chop, both off the charts. All four of us were sadly too stuffed for dessert, but adjacent tables had diners swooning over several delightful looking offerings. Piccola goes far beyond your typical Italian red sauce venue with thoughtfully prepared taste sensations, it will not disappoint. Go! Enjoy! D. Slater, New City
