Iâve learned not to expect much in the way of food at pubs and breweries, but Blue Collar Brewery was a nice surprise. Good beer and good burgersâI canât ask for more. Service was reasonably good even though our server was alone and taking care of at least six tables and wearing the hostess hat. They offer parking which is a nice perk.

Stopped in for a bite and a cocktail. We sat at the bar. Doyle waited on us promptly, answered our questions and was helpful. We decided on the boneless wings and Friday calamari. Both were excellent and good sized servings. They have a good wine list and full bar. I had a martini and explained how I preferred it. It was perfect. Great dining upstairs or in the lounge. Thank you for the review and we hpoe to see you back soon. Maybe you could check out the comedy club evry Saturday at 8PM or watch Sunday football on one of our 26 flat screens. Mahoney's

This place just consistently puts out great food. It's more than just decent pub fare, it's taken basic food, and definitely kicked it up a few notches. It's just good. Always.

SEE WHY LOCALS LOVE RIVER STATION WATERFRONT SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IN POUGHKEEPSIE, NY River Station Restaurant and Catering is a family restaurant in Poughkeepsie, NY. We've been a local favorite for 40 years. You'll love our waterfront view and mouth-water
We went with a group of eight tonight, 4 adults, 4 children. Got to the restaurant at 5:45 and seated immediately. Waitress brought drinks and took our order at 6:00. at 6:20, she brought the kids meals out. At 7:00 we asked the hostess where our food was and she checked and said 5-10 minutes. Well out food came at 7:15, and 3 of the 4 orders were over cooked badly. The manager or whatever she was came out and apologized and did refund the food order. But she had a terrible attitude and kept making excuses as to why our food was so bad, like it's Friday night, it's busy, one of the orders was a special order (which is was not), etc. etc. She asked us if we waned new meals and I said no, we have been here long enough we will order a pizza on the way home, she immediately told me that they don't need attitudes like mine. Well, the attitude was her, she should have just apologized, took the meals off the bill and not make excuses. I have gone to this restaurant numerous time over the past 20-30 years, will not go there again based on the way we were treated tonight.

After walking the Hudson bridge, we decided to try the restaurant we saw. The ice house is a nice casual place on the river. No dock and dine, but there is a drop off.We ordered the sunburst kale and the portobello sandwich. Both were better than expected.

We were in town to see a show and stopped in for a couple of drinks and a snack at the bar. Their tap list is fantastic most of them from NY. The Bavarian pretzels were very good and was a perfect fit for a couple of beers. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely return when in Poughkeepsie.

We stopped by during the week to see this restaurant and knew we would definitely return for dinner. Dining on the porch looking out at the Shawangunk mountains was delightful and reminded us of dining in northern Italy at similar scenes. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were scrumptious and both ordered the short ribs which melted in our mouths and were so flavorful served with red cabbage and mashed potatoes. We will definitely recommend and return especially during the fall to enjoy this excellent restaurant.

Situated across from the train station this building dates from about 1840 was originally a brewery owned by a Mr. Vassar who gave money to the formerly school for ladies nearby. Now it is a restaurant. Ground level caters to the pizza set...take-out but a couple of tables to eat in. Lots of choices. Looked great as we entered. Upstairs is a most comfortable dining room with high ceilings. The food is amazing. Yes, try the daily specials but also check out the menu for pasta with Sunday gravy...an assortments of meats. I liked the lobster ravioli. Joey talked about his experiences and that of the evolution of his restaurant. He treated to "Italian Tacos" a sweet. We ate for 2 days and shared with staff at our hotel. Thank you.

A pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed our corn chowder immensely. Not so impressed by the garlic bread "tower" - just pieces of bread...Pasta needed to be more al dente and dessert selection was disappointing. We took a miss. Still, scallops were great as was salad.Thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent visit to Shadows on the Hudson. We appreciate your feedback on the atmosphere and review of the dishes. We hope to see you again in the near future. Warmly,Deanna KnappRestaurant Manager

Mill House Brewing Company opened in the Fall of 2013. For us, it is the culmination of years of professional culinary/hospitality experience, expressive design and construction, and craft beer artistry. Located in the rehabilitated Mill House, Mill House
When I see a brew pub, I typically assume that the food will be passable pub fare. Burgers, fries, a token salad or two. This place shattered my expectations! The menu was ecclectic, yet balanced. Truffle arancini. Charcuterie. Burgers and salads that sounded creative and appetizing. Unlike many restaurants that try to be original, but instead cram too much into a dish, the creativity here was perfect. If you want a chicken sandwich, you don't have to say "hold the avocado, radishes, and kiwi/porcinini mushroom aeoli please." Instead, everything sounded harmonious, yet, fresh and original. The pork schnitzel deserves its own paragraph. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. Amazing mustard-crea-au jus sauce, but not smothered in it. Mustard spaetzel that has ruined me for all other spaetzel. And red cabbage that was so delicious it could have been a dish all its own!I live about an hour and 20 min from this place, and I'm already thinking of when I can return!Oh, and the beer was excellent, too!
