We went with a large group of about 15 for a going away party and had a wonderful afternoon/evening. It was a very hot day hi 90's but there was a decent breeze and the side of the bar closest to the canal has shade all day and ceiling fans above the bar.Large choice of beer and many frozen drinks offered which was perfect for today. 7 for an aluminum bud lite 16oz and the food prices in line with the area. The crab cake sand is delicious and others in my party enjoyed the burgers and chicken sand as well. The sushi is terrific as well.

My wife and I had used this location for casual dinners on many occasions.its current management has no sense of customer service. I took family visitors there for Sunday brunch and after being seated by the host was told a waiter would be right by. Nobody came althpugh several waiters and waitresss walked by, taking no notice of us. We finally left and I told the host why. All I got was a blank look. No apology. A manager was nowhere to be found.

Great local place on the water, hidden from any main drag in town. Food is good, great options of wing flavors and the tidbits are really yummy. Good selection of beers on tap and they have live music every Friday and Saturday nights, plus Sundays in the summer. The only drawback of the place is that they have a deck but can't use it, something about a town meeting and got the license revoked...it's a shame. Overall a really nice place for a casual bite to eat or a drink out with friends. Staff is friendly and overall pretty clean.

We checked other reviews and it sounded like a place we should try. I asked for a martini, on the rocks with a twist of lime. I received a martini, without ice and with a 4 inch slice of lemon zest. We ordered the monkfish, mussels, and a hamburger. The monkfish was tasty but small, the mussels were ok, but not fresh and the sauce was not very good, and the hamburger was just ordinary. A glass of wine, and a coke, and our bill was $81.00. This place has upscale decor, a nice location, but a disappointing fare and service to match. We do not recommend any one else waste their time or money on this place.

I don't typically go anywhere for Happy Hour so it was a happy, value added when I stumbled into Grillfire - Merrick. Hard to find fault with a good pour of smirnoff vodka, dirty on the rocks for $7.00. What's more impressive is the very extensive Happy Hour bar menu featuring a vast array of small plate options at, you guessed it $7.00 too.Charming & outgoing bar maid (do they still call female bartenders, bar maids?) who serve me piping hot - fresh popcorn with my cocktail. Thank you Loraine. This may have been the only GM restaurant that had not yet experienced. So, make a reservation for dinner, it's worth the drive. We're so happy you enjoyed yourself while visiting! We hope to see you again soon for some delicious cocktails and fresh popcorn or for dinner!

Tony Cubans is a great fusion of Cuban and Italian food. My wife and I went on a referral, and were pleasantly surprised. I had an Italian Cuban which was a Cuban with Procuitto and Mozzarella. For appetizers we had a Mango Salad, Shrimp, and Black bean soup. They were all excellent. Even the bread basket was a selection of different breads that were very fresh. The food was great and plentiful, but the service was only good. One real downside, was the plastic ware. Plastic glasses, plastic chipped plates and bowls, that was a real turnoff. We actually asked for a new plate and the one the waitress brought out was worse than the the first one. That took a real "chip" out of an otherwise great dining experience.

First off, our server Angel V was great. Thanks for attentiveness and suggestions. One of us has to eat gluten-free. She loved the choices. For me, the El Rey Salad was great. Restaurant is new; staff is welcoming; flavors are extraordinary and the place is very comfortable. Good spot!
I came for brunch few times. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: great food, excellent hostess, reasonable brunch menu and prices, various seating options, large food portions, full bar. Cons: while the hostess is great (and does a lot of work) the rest of the waiting staff is not nearly as good. In fact their bus boys do a better job than some of their waiters. Weekend Brunch is very busy and things fall in the cracks (unclean tables, stained glasses, overwhelmed waiters). Most of the issues can be fixed by further training the waiting staff on both skills and attitude. The hostess could do the training cause she is always on top of her game.

Food is always good, well priced and fresh! The bar has great bartenders and drinks are made well, nothing fancy, again well priced!! Carlos , the manager is fabulous, Jeremy and his family as well !! You become a friend quickly and are greeted warmly ! It's a place where you can wear anything and feel comfortable , order at the bar and your food is delivered to you , freshly made ,and with a smile!!We go there frequently and often go after a day of working doing volunteer work on somebody's home.
