We are a new Asian Fusion restaurant serving the Mt. Sinai community and surrounding towns.
I have a favorite sushi place in the Mt Sinai/Miller Place area and I usually donât stray, but I decided to give Hokkaido a chance. The place is beautiful; comfortable seats, sturdy tables, modern design, and cool wallpaper. The service was excellent and my waiter even complimented me on my Star Wars shirt! The food was outstanding. My chicken pad Thai looked exactly like it did in the advertisement and the black noodle and beef was perfectly cooked! Sushi here was also amazing! They had many specials of the dayâ snow pea sprout, sautéed rice cakes, fresh scallops, wild king salmon, and a valentineâs roll. The sesame chicken was to die for!!

i made a delivery order from them. they forgot the rice. when i asked them if they can deliver it again. they refused... the owner was screaming on the phone. i told him to take it easy. it's only some rice.... i mean i would have been okay if they admit and apologize... anyway it was a very bad experience. the food tasted terrible too. they use the same sauce for different dishes...

This "Japanese" restaurant, like many others, is not run by Japanese owners. This clearly shows how sushi and sashimi are prepared and presented. Cold atmosphere, average service, and small sake selection.

We've been here many times and always enjoy our meals. Small place, recently had a minor renovation, but food never changes. One of the few Thai places where you can get a Mee Grob appetizer. The cook, a little lady visible behind the counter, cranks out the meals with amazing efficiency. They have no liquor license, but encourage people to bring their own bottles, which they will open and provide glasses. This must be a big plus for some. One drawback for those who only use plastic: No credit cards accepted. So stop at an ATM first, and possibly a liquor store, and you'll have a lovely time.

This new restaurant in Port Jefferson Station is a winner. The room is pleasant, the service is good, the portions are large, the price is reasonable and the food is delicious. We began with three vegetarian spring rolls as an appetizer. They came with lettuce and shredded pickled carrots. The dipping sauce was excellent and the rolls were crispy and light. I had grilled chicken, vegetable and vermicelli noodles, my husband had chicken, lemongrass and rice and our friend had shrimp and pork on vermicelli. They were each served with their own light, sweet sauce. Terrific!

Went to this little restaurant for Valentine's Day with another couple. Very reasonably priced and wonderful food. We all loved everything from the soup to the main courses. We were too full to order dessert. Took food home. Decor could use a little upgrading but we didn't mind. Will go back soon!!

I only wish the food was as good as the background music was pleasant. We enjoyed the music a lot, mostly from the Great American Songbook. However, the sushi was very average. We used a Groupon, which I almost forgot about, but even with the lower price of the food it was not such a great deal. Considering the multitude of Sushi Restaurants around, Hana would not be high on my list.

I have been dining at Tai Show for 6+ years now and every time I go there I am amazed at the quality of the food. From the deep-fried oysters (Never greasy!), to the tuna tataki (EXCELLENT) to the excellent service and wonderful atmosphere with private booths available. I have tried other restaurants closer to my home. Midori was recommended to me, but I tried it twice now and both times left disappointed. The food is just okay and it was way too noisy for a nice sit-down dinner. I also tried Wasabi Japanese Restaurant in Miller Place. Again, the food was just okay. Nice staff there, but I am looking for very good sushi and this didn't match Tai Show. If you want really good Sushi, you must go to Tai Show in East Setauket. You won't be disappointed, I promise you.MaryRocky Point.

Slurp Ramen offers a fresh twist on Japanese soul food. We specialize in authentic Japanese Ramen, Rice Bowls, Buns & Salads.
So this was my first time having restaurant Ramen. I've actually made it myself several times (thank you pinterest) and wanted to see what I can do better. I really enjoyed my spicy Ramen that I ordered, but I wasn't blown away. I did try a Ramen egg from my best friend's original Ramen bowl, and really enjoyed that- wished I had gotten some on my own dish, actually. In general, it was tasty and flavorful but nothing terribly special. It's a little pricey in my opinion. I enjoyed my food, but would try other restaurants in the area before going back.
