Lazy Boy Saloon is located in Downtown White Plains. The Lazy has an amazing bar and a great beer menu unfortunately that is when the good time ends. The unisex bathroom was filthy and disgusting, we also noticed the waitress pet a dog in middle of food service who then proceed to serve meals to the patrons ( we love dogs but you have to wash your hands if you are handling food). Jolly Chriss.

Enjoyed every minute of this wonderful experience. The place is beautiful, the servers are attentive and informative. Split the caesar salad which was deliciious and very different, lots of crunchy parmesan cheese - suggest splitting the salad as there was plenty for two. Rib eye steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and scrumptous. The chocolate cake was to die for. The only mistake we made was to order two sauces for each of our steaks thinking it came with the steak only to find out upon receiving the check that each sauce was extra - learning for next time. Very expensive but worth every penny - and as many others have said the popovers were great!

This place use to serve a real good hamburger but boy have times changed. I got something that resembled a store bought thin frozen pattie, the waitress agreed and took it back. 5 minutes later another member of staff brought the same plate/same food back to the table to tell me the chef had sent it back out to me and to tell me that’s the size they all were! Very disappointing visit.

This was a last minute choice. The restaurant was nearly full. The menu has a large choice of appetizers. About six salad entrees. The salads are huge. Salads approximately $9-11 with the ability to add a protein from $5-7. There are multiple burger choices with several types of meat - Kobe, Lamb, Turkey, etc. the service was very nice. The time from ordering to food on the table was not very long. We had burgers and salads and all were very good. The prices were moderate. Not to expensive. Dessert menu available. Desserts $7 each. Tables are close together%. Unfortunately the couple next to us fought the entire time they where there. Annoying but not the restaurants fault.Very low level of white noise. There is a free parking lot behind the restaurant. Not well lighted and uphill to retrieve your car.

We arranged for a brunch at Sam's after a recent funeral. They were incredibly busy, but they still went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure our requests and needs for 40 guests were perfectly met. The food, served family style, was delicious and the wait staff was efficient and very patient! We did not feel rushed in any way; indeed we felt like family. This restaurant reminds us of what it was like living in "old" White Plains and we could not imagine going anywhere else. Perfect in every way and very, very much appreciated at a time of great sorrow.

It’s not that the food was bad, but it certainly was not what we expected from a steakhouse at this price point. The portions were huge but the porterhouse for two was a big disappointment. More fatty and gristly than marbled. It lacked flavor. The bacon appetizer was very tasty but also very fatty. We should have listened to other reviews about the blue cheese wedge salad - it tasted like bottle dressing dumped on the lettuce, practically no crumbled blue cheese to be seen. The mushrooms were delicious, the steak fries were good but more like just French fries. We drive by the restaurant all the time and the parking lot is always packed. The restaurant was crowded so clearly it’s popular but it just didn’t work for us. There was nothing inspired or remarkable. We see no reason to go back.Hi,We are sorry to hear that your dining experience was not up to par with what you had expected, we understand how that can be disappointing. Your notes of the cuisine will certainly be brought to the kitchen to asses and improved if need be. We do hope that you give us another chance to impress you the way you should have been on your first visit. If you prefer, we also have 2 steakhouses in NYC by Grand Central and 1 seafood restaurant in NYC as well called The Sea Fire Grill that we hope you check out one day!

Okay! So my rating may be a bit harsh considering but I'm basing it on the fact that there's no reason for me to go back. While on a date, my date and I decided to try the Melting Pot since neither of us has been there. When we arrived, the restaurant was semi-empty but we had to wait to be seated for about 30 minutes. However, the ambiance made up for that as the tables were sectioned off in cute little cubbies with plenty of privacy. This was a good feel for a couple that wanted to talk and enjoy themselves. The Food! The dessert and chocolate fondue menus were okay but nothing extraordinary when compared to your own homemade fondue for the price point. Easily could've made both the chocolate and cheese fondues along with dippers myself for cheaper. Now, in all fairness, the waiter told us it's a completely RAW menu. For some reason, I did not really understand this until my entire entree came out on a plate raw for me to cook myself. Lol. My surprise must've shown on my face as the waiter began to explain the cooking times for each raw item and then added my food to the melting pot. Which all boils in the same pot (shrimp/filet mignon/lobster). Afterward, my date had to do the same thing using THE SAME POT! The concept is humorous actually. I've never felt more disappointed or cheated and I didn't even pay for the food. Both of us were just speechless lol. I can only laugh about it now but at the time it was so awkward. For $40 per entree only to cook your own food than to actually share the same boiling water was unbelievable. Mine and my dates food ended up tasting the same lol. I can't see myself or wallet going back to pay to cook my own food in shared boiling water.Techie b, I'm glad you enjoyed the ambiance, but it sounds like we let you down in a number of other areas. You have a lot of great insights and I'd love to hear more of your thoughts. Please reach out to me at the restaurant, 914-993-6358.

My wife, daughter and I had Mother’s Day dinner at Gigante Restaurant & Bar yesterday evening and it was absolutely wonderful. -Service: From the very beginning with the valet parking to the very end when picked up our coats from the hostess the service was superb.-Decor/Ambiance: The place is filled with nice vibes. I would describe the décor as a casual approach to “modern nouveau elegance” (if there is such a description). A wide variety of spacious seating arrangements face onto a really striking bar, and there is a really neat private dining area to the rear. Really cool artwork is displayed throughout the restaurant and private dining areas. Unfortunately the weather was really bad so we could not take advantage of the outdoor seating with the beautiful fire pits that complement the indoor seating.-Food: In a word… Scrumptious! The restaurant is categorized as an “Italian” eatery. While there were quite a few Italian dishes on the menu (I must give a shot out to the Mozzarella en Carrozza…unique and outrageously good!), there was also a nice selection of other types of selections including a couple of really great Asian Fusion type dishes (I had the Rock Shrimp Tempura as an appetizer and the Beef Tenderloin Kung Pao as an entrée (the sauce for the shrimp tempura was amazing and the stir fried vegetables in the beef tenderloin absolutely succulent). My wife is still ranting about the flavor and texture of the Beef Short Ribs.Near the end our dinner the maître de came over and chatted with us about our dining experience. When we raved about the quality of the food the maître de asked us if we would like to meet Chef Samuel Kim. This turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening. At a new establishment like Gigante I would have expected these guys to give us the stereotypic marketing speil about how great the place is. Instead, both gentlemen were extremely genuine and cordial, and it was obvious that they both are extremely passionate about their professions. For my family, their passion (and that of all of the staff at Gigante) was manifest in a truly wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back. This is a must for those in search of a great dining experience.
