Each of our dishes was excellent. We didn't expect to find such great seafood in Pleasantville, but we were really impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the refined presentation. I drove over an hour from New Jersey to meet friends here, and I will gladly return due to the quality of the food and the warm welcome by the chef/owner. Highly recommended.
Grass Roots Kitchen brings you the foods and preparations you love with the ease of quick service. With farm-to-table ingredients and vegan, gluten-free & meat options.
We were excited to find a restaurant that offered numerous vegan and non-vegan options. What we found was that in addition to delicious food a staff that went above and beyond in customer service. Unfortunately we don't live nearby or this would become a "regular" place for us. Anytime we are in the Tarrytown area we will be back. Thanks!!
I was doing some research for upcoming trips and saw this tavern and decide to go in for my evening meal after a long day of exploring Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown. Casey at the bar was attentive and welcoming. I tried the French onion soup and it was the best Iâve had in a very long time. I highly recommend the Bridgeview tavern. You wonât be disappointed.

Velo, which means bicycle in French, showcases Anthony's love of cooking and his love of cycling, which is reflected in the decor. Velo, a mixed cuisine restaurant, located just off the main strip of downtown Nyack, offers a provocative menu. Serving exce
We had a very good dinner here. I love that the risotto had two different sizes - large and small. Perfect size and really good. The watermelon salad with olives, mint, and cheese was awesome. I couldn't get enough! The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff attentive and polite. Plus, being in town allowed you to take a walk on Main street afterwards. Perfecto!

Pete's has a varied menu. We started with corn fritters which were wonderful! They filling was full of creamy corn and the outside was crunchy. I had a salad with a burger on it. There were lots of good greens-no iceberg to be found.and both tomatoes and strawberries. My husband had a rib-eye steak and fries. They were both exactly as requested , the steak medium rare and the fries crisp. The lemon sorbet and pound cake were both delicious. The prices are reasonable and the staff is helpful and friendly without hovering. I needed help getting my scooter in and they could not have been nicer about moving furniture. We were there on a Wednesday night and there was a trivia game . It was a lot of fun and nobody knew just how badly we did, I understand there is live music some night. If you would find that annoying call before you go,
Aug 2019, OMG! Amazing food and service. There is plenty of seating inside with a nice bar area. And they even have a few tables in their outdoor garden if you enjoy sitting outside. We sat at the bar to eat, and our Bartender Dave was great, he had a wonderful personality and took great care of us. We shared the Roasted Shrimp and Seared Scallops over Farro that tasted simply delicious. Then for dessert we shared he âTres Leches Cakeâ that was moist and delightfully yummy. We are definitely coming back here to eat in the future. Also note, you can find Metered street parking that ends at 5pm or non-Metered parking if you look long enough on the side streets.

My wife and I stopped in to this quaint little restaurant squeezed between two other buildings for lunch while we were searching for a good location to see the lighthouse there. Upon entering, there is an immediate dining section and a set of stairs which will lead you to the bar and a few more tables. On nice days, you can venture even higher and dine up on the roof to encounter a beautiful view of the surrounding area. In existence for a mere six months, the owners (Gary and Melinda) have managed to capture a Chef (Anthony) well versed in Caribbean cuisine. His performance in the does him honor to the many Chefs I have met along the way. He is truly a hidden talent that must be taken advantage of while youâre in Sleepy Hollow. The Hudson Anchorâs menu reflects mostly that of the neighborhood cuisine which, to this Chef, is fairly standard. Until you order. Chef Anthony does put his own healthy twist on your normal Cobb salad with Arugula as the standard greens. Very nice portions of avacado and lobster, to boot. Lardons to perfection. Paired with a white bean soup, it was a welcome meal on an otherwise cold day. Their fish taco was matched with a unique coleslaw that sparked my very opinionated tastebuds. In a wonderful manner. And then thereâs their Mussels and Chorizo in a saffron broth. And this, my foodie extraordinaire, is where you will excite your palette. Ask for the âGhost menuâ. It doesnât exist on paper. Nor is it written down. But it will cater to your exquisite reputation. They knock it up a few notches for you. Remember. Chef IS trained in Caribbean delights. And even adding a sparse amount of diced jalapeños to broth brings a scintillating breath of fresh air to an already tasteful delight. Would I venture there again? I mean, it IS an hours drive from my house... The answer is, I have already! Twice in just the last week. This little restaurant is a diamond in the rough that needs to be populated and embraced by both the community and the foodie looking for a culinary experience. If you dare. Because I never stated whether the âGhost Menuâ was a reflection of Chef Anthonyâs acuity in the use of chili peppers OR the reputation of the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow!

Nyack is known for many restaurants for dinner (Mediterranean, Thai, Japanese, Italian...the list is endless) and incredibly great bakeries, ice cream, pizza, lunch varieties, and vegetarian/vegan options abound. But out of all, Strawberry Place stands out as THE place for breakfast, with the most varied menu, friendly atmosphere and cordial service.

I ate here when they first opened and remember the bbq being rather good and the collard greens delightful. During this last visit, I found myself very disappointed. Whereas the owner would always be around in the past, nowadays there are just millennials working the restaurant. The food was tasteless and for the money they charge it should be better. The gumbo lacked any spice or flavor whatsoever and the ribs were dry. Collard greens were all but inevitable. Disappointing.
