Had dinner at Surf on 1/26/19. The restaurant is just beautiful - sparkling clean, tons of windows. The bartender was very friendly and she suggested different beers and let us sample them. The view from our table on the second floor was spectacular - downtown Manhattan to the left and the bridge to the right. The waiter was very friendly, he gave us his thoughts on the food when we asked. We had the beet salad, thick cut bacon and wings for apps. All three delicious. My husband and I had cheeseburgers and we were not disappointed! Literally one of the best burgers I have ever eaten! Delicious French fries, too. Our friends had short ribs and a cod special. Everyone cleared their plates. I wasn't very impressed with the banana s'mores dessert, but the brownie was amazing. Would definitely go back!Thank you so much for taking the time out to write such a raving review, Patricia! We are so glad to hear that you had an incredible experience here at Surf and we look forward to seeing you again. Thanks again!Patrick C.Surf Management

The Gavel Grill opened in what was previousley Chrissys in courthouse shadows. The night I went.the entertainment was Wendy Rene , a singer with a great voice and a wide variety of tunes. For dinner I had an appetizer that was more than enough for a meal .The Mediterranean Platter for &10.99 . Came with Hummis, flat bread, stuffed Grape leaves,Greek Olives, and 2 Lamb Chops done to perfection. The service was excellent. The only complaint I had , was that the music was too loud to talk to the friends who joined me. The atmosphere is clean and bright.

I was here for a private party this past weekend. The room, food and decor were lovely. Service was efficient and helpful and the food was of fine quality. From my experience this appears to be a great place to host a party or special event. Lorenzo's is conveniently located at the Hilton Hotel and not far from the Staten Island Expressway exit. Parking is plentiful. Thanks for this kind review, Mary! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit. We love to see guests and friends from the community host private parties at Lorenzo's, too! We hope you'll come visit us again soon.

We had a very pleasant brunch experience at Lacey's Bridge Tavern. The selection was good and all of our dishes were delicious. The servers did the good job of providing the complimentary drinks. Unfortunately we were in close proximity to some very loud large tables who screams through most of out time there.

Adobe Blues Restaurant

This establishment has stood the test of time. Having been open for decades they still pack the place every weekend. Expect to wait on the weekend, but the bar area is great waiting place. An extensive beer and tequila list with their full bar. Friendly bartenders and almost always a great crowd. The bar area is interestingly decorated. Take the time to notice all of the period and quirky pieces. Once you get to your table the place is decorated in a great Tex Mex atmosphere. We have visited several times over the years with different friends and family. I have never heard a bad word about anything anyone has ever ordered. On this particular visit I enjoyed the baby back ribs. Cooked to perfection on this visit in my opinion. We shared and enjoyed some beers from the list both at the bar and our table. A small parking lot behind the restaurant, but usually ample street parking. We will surely be back.

Ruddy & Dean

Six PM on Saturday is awfully early to have that kind of mantra. Finally we were served steak. The prices are high for Staten Island. The house wine is $12 a glass. The servers were pleasant and competent and the food good. With so many other better restaurants available on the island (even close to the ferry), I won’t return.thank you very much for giving Ruddy & Dean a chance . We Weren't out of anything we took the scallops off the menu because they cost more than 20 per pound so we couldnt offer that dish at an affordable price. We also added several specials to our menu.As a matter of fact 1 of your guests ordered (pierogies). As far a insinuating that the steaks took a long time that wasnt the case you took an awful long time to order I know this because I was one of the friendly waiters that evening . Our mantra is a 2 part- treat customers the way We want to be treated and second is from and old retailer from down town manhattan that would say on his commercials an" educated consumer is our best customer!!" . That's why some guests will think we are expensive and others will say it's worth every penny. Again we sincerely thank you for giving us a chance. All the best

Brand new and innovative

Great deal especially for the portion sizes. Can add unlimited wine, sangria or beer for an extra $10 but is limited to a 90 minute seating. Service was a little slow for my liking the night we went, as we opted to sit outside, which is more enjoyable and much quieter but was too warm this evening. I dropped the review down to an average on (2) factors. Food was good, just no wow factor, and I think there were a total of 9 fans. 6 had no blades, and one of the 3 oscillating fans was not working either. To me, this is unacceptable when your offering outdoor seating. Would definitely return. Sit indoors if it is extremely warm. On a cool night, I would choose outdoor seating.
