Mia's Kitchen is a family owned business with a mission to bring healthy, wholesome and delicious home cooked food to the community. We have sandwiches, salads, soups, entrees and many vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, as well as smoothies, great
We stopped in for lunch while in town and sampled several dishes. We had a turkey avocado wrap, cauliflower pizza and a fruit crisp. The wrap was bland, lacking any real flavor. The cauliflower pizza was ok, sauce and cheese were tasty but crust could use some work. The overall crisp flavor was good but had too little fruit and too much topping. There were a lot of menu items to choose from, so maybe we just didnât get the better items.

Delicious food, great service and a nice atmosphere. What more could you want when dining out?. Our server, Jim, was very attentive and also very engaging. He made suggestions on the menu and we were not disappointed. I had the filet of sole, which was delicious. My husband had the veal saltimbocca, which he said was awesome. We weren't rushed through the meal and lingered over coffee and dessert. The ice cream for dessert was divine, made at a local NJ plant and only sold to restaurants, unfortunately!. We will definitely be back when in the area again.Thank you so much and thank you for taking your time to send a review! I will let Jim know how pleased you were with him and next time you can request him. Have a great weekend!

Orange Top Diner, Tuxedo, NYJust experienced a real rural town diner in Tuxedo yesterday. It was pretty simple with booths and table. Not very big as the NJ Diners are. Pretty straightforward menu. I had a chicken salad sandwich on wheat toast it came with a thin pickle and a little container of coleslaw. My guest had a cheese omlette with hash browns and toast. It was decent both dishes. For dessert I had the chocolate crème pie and that was delicious. The waiter was nice and attentive. We were there after walking all over the NY Renaissance festival so Iâm sure a lot of the customers there were from the RenFest. The bathroom was a good size with one toilet for both Men and Women. It is needed there Iâm sure for people driving up state or to New England.

Stopped in because it was close to the hotel and serving food a little later. We ended up just getting nachos to share. They were alright. Nothing to write home about. Staff were ok. Friendly enough. The place felt a bit run down. Prices seemed a little on the high side for the type of place it is. I suppose if you were coming for drinks and the game this place would be ok!

A terrific selection of BBQ meats, including pork, beef, and chicken. Also shrimp, turkey, and a whole slew of vegetables and great side dishes. The portions are large, the selection includes platters, sandwiches, and a bunch of salads (with meat of course!). One nice aspect is that you can order just a meat dish, and yes/no as to sides. Parking is tight, but doable. There are daily specials, including a Monday all you can eat buffet.
Deli food, with market
We stop in for wraps & chips if we're headed into Harriman for a day hike. There are many sandwiches & wraps to choose from. They offer more than just the usual sandwich combos (check the large menu on the wall). I like when delis offer a menu because without one I never know what to order. They also have hiking trail maps for sale.

This place has been around for ages, why it took me so long to stop in I'll never understand. The place is very old-school but with some very new touches like their draft beer collection, flat-screen TV's and a menu that is anything but run-of-the-mill, especially the daily specials. And...Pizza? Just amazing. Not a leftover in sight, and if you have a taste for beer - DO have the Sunnyside's draft!

I just posted a review of Characters, but it was accidentally inserted into the section on Rhodes Tavern in Sloatsburg. Ooops!! Help, please!!
I have eaten at this restaurant many times but the other night we ordered two Corn beef and cabbage sandwiches. They were awful, dry , not a lot of either corned beef or cabbage. It seemed they covered it up with a lot of French fries which were not very tasteful. I have to say only bad meal I had there in years. Must have been a bad night

What to order? With so many delicious selections and one stomach this is a real problem! Save room for desert!! I had the broccoli almond soup, some of the group had the chowder - totally wonderful. The salads, the burgers! Share an entree so you can try a cake or cookie, too. The cheese cake is the best ever, I loved the cranberry cake. All my 8 guests talked about their meal for days.

Besides having the nicest waiters/waitresses on the planet, the food at Rhodes is particularly fresh and delicious. I recommend the pancakes for Sunday Brunch. I like blueberries in my blueberry pancakes and they never disappoint. Nice fluffy cakes filled with handfuls of fresh berries! Add some hot coffee and their sausages and you can't ask for a better Sunday Brunch.
