This diner is in a nice location; however, being in an urban area parking was a bit of a challenge on a week day, in the very early afternoon. The place itself is nice, roomy and clean. My server was serious and aloof; he never smiled and limited himself to taking the order and bringing it when it was ready. He was not welcoming or friendly in any way; however, he was in no way disrespectful. The servers who were tending to nearby tables also seemed to be somewhat unfriendly.I ordered a grilled chicken with tomato sandwich. It came with French fries, cole slaw and soup. I had the Manhattan clam chowder. The food was very tasty. The portions were more than adequate. The lady at the register was somewhat standoffish. She asked me if I wanted a copy of my receipt and I said no. She gave me a copy anyway; this is not a problem at all. However, when I smiled and said I was already walking away because I wasn't expecting it, she became even more serious and seemed annoyed.I go to many diners and had never before encountered one with such unfriendly staff. This was a first for me. The food was good so if I am ever in the area again, I will go back. Next time, I will know what to expect (no smiles, no friendly comments).

No wonder they are called the pastrami king. Hot and lean and oh so tasty. Definitely deserves a return trip.

Family restaurant on busy Austin Street in Queens (Lots of kids with parents). Atmosphere is great. Ate their famous Bison Burger and the fame is deserved. Wonderful taste and consistency and I did not feel over-stuffed, which is a plus for a man in his late 50s. Healthier than other burgers out there. Salads also delicious and Sangria was sublime. Menu layout is new and more complex than necessary. Overall, it was a satisfying experience

After a long day of driving on New York freeways in unbelievable traffic, dining at this small restaurant inside the hotel lobby was a relief: good food, a decent variety, reasonably priced, and the best part: it was convenient!

Stopped by about a week ago. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Although a little pricey the food and service was excellent. All the staff were extremely friendly and one person gave my mother suggestions (because my mother inquired) on what bakery to get cannoliâs. This will be my go to place when I come back into town

We went to this restaurant to celebrate our friendâs 80th birthday. Although we traveled a distance to eat here because we wanted a special dinner, our waiter seemed uninterested in serving us. A simple request for an extra glass was met with the response: itâll be a few minutes. Really? The bar was a few feet away. When we told him that we were ready to order, he told us he would take it in a few minutes. This was how the whole lunch went. My request for no garlic was not heeded and was sick all evening. He even forgot to put a candle on the birthday girlâs dessert even though he was told. This is not a cheap restaurant - the bill was about $50 per person for lunch. Unfortunately the tip was automatically added, otherwise I would have left far less. There was no need to please us when you know you are getting 18% of the bill. We will never go here again! He truly spoiled the day for everyone, but especially the birthday celebrant.

Today my wife and I along with family members went to this diner to celebrate our "GRANDDAUGHTER"S GRADUATION". This was the first time we've been here and I must say the food was enjoyable as well as the service. There's quite a variety of food selections on their menu so you can definitely find something you'd like on it.

We have eaten here many times while staying at the Hilton. This time we were at the adjacent Hampton Inn and our nearest meal option was 144. We were here for a late lunch and dinner. Both times, the service was slow, though it was better at dinner. The food was definitely average. The chicken club salad was good.
