Established in 1992 and located in the heart of Millbrook, NY, we are the perfect destination for deliciously prepared foods. Whether you prefer delicious gourmet sandwiches, homemade soups and salads, or a full dinner, Slammin' Salmon is sure to please.
This has become our fall back choice whenever the Diner and the Cafes are too busy. To be fair, this is basically a take out facility and table service will be rudimentary. Therefore food comes to your table in the take out box. We had two orders of Fish and Chips and two Wraps. The cod in beer batter and chips were very crisp and the wraps were totally satisfactory. Even though the place has a large fresh sea food offering there were very few seafood dishes on the menu when we visited. The prices are very reasonable for the locale.Hello, and thanks for your feedback! We appreciate your comments about the quality of our food, and are excited to share with you some major news ... As of late last year (2017), Slammin' Salmon is now under new ownership and management. In addition, we recently completed a major renovation of our cafe, aimed at providing a truly new and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. In planning our renovation, we reviewed feedback from many of our guests who shared some of your opinions, and tried our best to address some of the common concerns. As a result, we believe you'll find a completely new experience when you return. Changes include an updated seasonal menu, plated meals, friendly team members, and a completely new interior designed to reduced clutter and maximize the comfort of our customers. We look forward to serving you in the future, and hope that you'll continue to share your feedback with us so that we can always provide the best food, service, and atmosphere that Millbrook has to offer.
Fabulous prepared food and downtown style breakfast and lunch dining. New generation old Mabbetsville Market patronized by the same crowd of polo players, farmers, weekenders in Range Rovers and tweedy locals in boots.Highest quality local produce. Open kitchen. Massive espresso machine.

Sister restaurant to Market St. in Rhinebeck, similar atmosphere, beautiful new bar, similar menu, glad they decided not to mess with a good thing so now we can enjoy what we like about Market St. without fighting the Rhinebeck crowds. Nice to see a restaurant come to Millbrook with a fresh look, wonderful staff, reasonable prices and great food.

Seasonal American cuisine, oysters, cocktails and sustainable wines
Canoe Hill is a small--let's call it "intimate"-- restaurant in Millbrook, NY. In this reviewer's opinion it's right up there with Le Baux as the best restaurant in the town. The branzino and scallops--if you're lucky enough to have them on the menu when you visit, are worth a detour. The wine selecrtion is exceptional. But what closes the deal are the variety of fresh oysters available. If you like, or love, oysters, this is your destination. My favorite are pemaquid oysters and I've never had fresher than here. The downside, and there always are one or two, is that the music can be a bit loud. You can still talk with those at your table but it's not for everyone. And the wine does not come inexpensively. But, after all, a great meal worth remembering and coming back for again is a joy in life and Canoe Hill delivers that joy. It just charges for it.

A culinary experience in Millbrok Hunt Country. Come sit by the wood burning fire and sip a Mango Margarita or a wine from our Award Winning Wine Cellar and Enjoy the Magic! Private Party Rooms Available.
Ambiance, service and food preparation is very good. The welcoming attitude was noted and our server Kate was a pleasure to deal with. The beet salad with goat cheese was exceptional, the duck was prepared and presented with excellent care. The creme brûlée capped off a great dinner and a good opportunity to enjoy time with friends.

Our entrees were perfectly prepared and delicious -- Steak, Pork Chops, Seafood combo. The appetizers were terrific, especially their unique Stuffed Spanish Onion! The wine (and beer) selection was interesting and excellent. Prices very reasonable. Always a great meal!

I came here with friends while visiting Hudson Valley. The cider and the food is amazing. I had the NY Brut and Singapore Sling - and bought extras of both to bring home. Also, onion rings with horseradish sauce is And the grilled cheese is excellent. Bring your drink by the fire and get ready to settle in!
