Dobbs Diner is not only the best place in the whole world for breakfast, but they also serve lunch and dinner as well. I have only been there for breakfast. The interior of the Diner is well lit, colorful and airy. The service personnel are very attentive, but not pushy. My wife and I have eaten breakfast there on several occasions, trying something different each time. I have had the corned beef hash with fried eggs--excellent--because the hash was crisp on the outside yet moist on the inside, and the fried eggs had runny yolks which is what I asked for, and is what I got. Another time I got the toasted bagel with Nova Scotia Lox and all the fixings (see photo): Absolutely wonderful! My wife got the Eggs Benedict, which she enjoyed tremendously. And if Dobbs Diner needs any more of an endorsement, this is where the locals have their breakfast also!I highly recommend Dobbs Diner for breakfast because it is clean family run, with tremendous quality food at an honest price.

When our hotel's breakfast buffet turned into a circus run by clowns, we left the hotel and decided to find something local. Google maps led us to this diner and the whole experience added to our trip to the Hudson Valley.Although very busy on a Sunday morning, the hostess soon found us a place at the counter and as out of towners were made to feel very welcome. It was amazing to watch this restaurant crew fly through the quick movements of feeding a crowd of people, quickly, efficiently, with smiles and good humor. I always feel like I'm in a good place when employees seem to be enjoying their work, and these certainly did.The food was delicious, hot, well-prepared and presented. It was also easy to spot the ever-observant manager strolling with an eye to everything going on while greeting his mainstay customers and friends. I'm not sure when I might be in Ardsley again, but if I'm anywhere near close, this diner will certainly get more of my business.

My husband and I went to this place with our Senior Center for a Christmas luncheon party. The waiters and waitresses, food and DJ were excellent. We had a great time. It is a beautiful place for a special occasion. Invite your family and friends.

I was shopping at Ridgehill and we decided to take a break and have lunch. We went to the Yard House. Place always surprises us. I love Nachos. Well their Nachos dish is big enough to feed five people and it was only me. That was my lunch. It had such flavor. Chicken pieces with melted cheese and lots of cilantro, fresh multicolored chips, oh I was in Nacho heaven. Excellent place. Great crowd.

Locally sourced ingredients, seasonal menus, and handcrafted cocktails unite at Harper's Bar & Restaurant-a modern interpretation of the American tavern. CIA-trained chef Chris Vergara serves simple, fresh food in âeclectically elegantâ dining rooms where
Met some friends for a relaxed Sunday brunch. Good menu, well executed. Friendly and accomodating staff. Had the feta and melon salad, burger, J had the grilled rainbow trout -- probably the best thing ordered. The spicy Bloody Marys were nice, though I was a bit disappointed they couldn't make it a Maria. But definitely top of the class in Dobbs.

We're regulars here -- maybe once a month -- and are never disappointed. It's small, so *sometimes* it's crowded and noisy, but mostly it's a very pleasant place to have a meal with friends or family. (And if you're a local, you'll almost certainly run into at least one person you know.)The menu is small, but gets updated frequently, and there's usually something for everyone (for the kids, that's often the burger). It's always good, sometimes truly excellent -- such as the Fig & Prosciutto pizza they currently have in rotation. Also a there's a nice selection of craft beers. It's one of our defaults when we're too tired, grumpy or lazy to cook but if I were a visitor looking for a casual meal, I'd be happy here too -- just the place you want to find to grab a bite and relax.

Compelled to write my first review anywhere. Attempted to eat fish served medium . Request was âcooked throughâ. Came out rare x 2. Next table salmon also undercooked and tuna overcooked. Excuse ....busy on Saturdays? Went home hangry, prices high, service fair but yes , lovely view. Glad I was with great company.

Half Moon is the newest addition to the Fort Pond Bay Company family, serving casual yet sophisticated American cuisine. Located in Dobbs Ferry, NY on the Hudson River waterfront, Half Moon has become a Westchester favorite for enjoying steaks, raw bar, a
The stars are for the view, which really is spectacular: local roads take you right down to the edge of a Hudson, at a particularly great spot. But the expensive menu just doesn't add up. I passed on the dinner special, a seafood in tomato sauce (Provencal) that was being served with no usual accompaniment (rice, pasta, something) for the sauce and got instead, after duck tacos (which were much less good than I'd hope for from a decent food truck), a fancy-sounding scallops dish that turned out to be a mish-mash of vegetables (mostly farro) that did nothing for the unimpressive scallops. The service, on a quiet Monday night when there were few diners, was slow and comically confused. (Two guys each ordering one beer was too much math to manage.) Maybe better for a drink?

My mother in law always picks The Cookery for our brunch with her after the New Year. We are always seated at the same table, even without asking, and now we refer to it as our table. The brunch menu is mostly the same, but with so many great dishes to choose from we are fine with it. We all mixed it up this time, except for my husband who always orders the shredded pig. My crostini with ricotta was moist, flavorful, and if I did not know what was coming next, I would have asked for more! I had the seafood special of the day, which were delicious scallops with broccoli rabe and a sauce that I was not crazy about, but I was easily able to push it to the side. The dessert was amazing, both the sticksbutta pie and the chocolate polenta. One thing different was that the other times we were there for brunch the chef sent out plates of items we had not ordered or little treats. This time we only received one plate of yummy muffins and scones, but we were offered seconds on dessert (too full to say yes). The service has been consistently great and we cannot wait to try the owners new British Gastro Pub on Cedar Street. One criticism is that the music is always way too loud for us, but maybe it is just bothersome to us at our stage in life.

We went to Mauds after being recommended by Bill, the owner of the Greenleaf Pharmacy (old fashioned soda fountain). Anyway, thanks Bill! No regrets. A family friendly (multiple young families with toddlers, etc) "bar Americana" with some typical bar fare, but some different dishes as well. My wife had the chicken sheppards pie made with sweet potatoes, a unique twist. I had the crab cakes, and while delicious, I must admit to holding a very high standard for seafood. No problems at all, mind you, just picky! We both had a beer, and split a Captain and Coke, for under $75.00. You cant go wrong. Highly recommended.
