I got a pepperoni pizza and cheese sticks and both were very mediocre. The cheese sticks were probably the most disappointing not just because they werenât hot but just the breading tasted uncooked and like cornmeal. The pizza wasnât to my liking other than the crust I will say the crust was soft and I could have eaten an order of just that but the pizza left me under whelmed and made me wish Iâd just got out to eat or gotten a pizza from a chain. Really wish Iâd loved it like my friend did.

We were there for lunch. First the good. The turkey panini and the steak sandwich were delicious as was the Mabel's Oat Soda Co. Porter. The bad was the limited menu choices for non-meat eaters. Even the flatbread had prosciutto and the seafood chowder had pancetta. The worst were the onion rings. The batter was improperly blended and dry corn meal was inside. The manager apologized saying that the onion rings were frozen from their supplier. I don't go out to eat for packaged frozen food.

A steakhouse that doesn't know how to cook meat! Medium rare comes medium+Prime rib was the correct cooking but not very flavorful. They couldn't get the foam to work for cappuccino. Out of the first wine ordered. The computer had an incorrect price loaded for the second wine (which was a delightful surprise - old vintage). Waitress was clearly inexperienced, although she really tried. Wasted dinner for us..

Great welcome, great wait staff, great food! The owner has several autographed sports jerseys if you're interested to see some history! Bart Starr had just passed the day before we were there, and his jersey was on the wall - amazing!Definitely recommending this Irish sports bar for atmosphere and food and service!

An average diner with table and counter service. The biscuits and gravy were good. The eggs and bacon were average. Busy place; friendly service. A bit disappointed in the menu choices... nothing special offered.

We walked in without reservations and they told us they could accommodate us in about 5 minutes, so we had a drink at the bar and were promptly seated. Had a great waitress and enjoyed some local wine and beer, along with some salads and pizza made in the wood fired brick oven.Traveled here by boat, from the home we rented on the east side of Seneca Lake, and utilized the free town docks near the Ramada to tie up for this dinner visit. It was a short 5 - 7 minute walk to Halseyâs and we enjoyed walking through the vibrant area. We caught the tail end of the sunset as we boated back to the house, after our pleasant dining experience.

Traveling thru town and found this place for lunch. It's a great old fashioned bar/restaurant with a great old bar and large stone fireplace in the dinning room. The food was ok, and the servise needed much to be desired, it took forever to get our second beer and there was only another large table of 10 or 12 being served at the time we were there. The menu has a good verity, and I would be willing to give it another try if I were from the area.

We made a reservation for a birthday with Opentable, and confirmed the reservation the morning of our visit. We arrived 12 minutes late and were told that they had given our table to someone else because they thought we weren't coming. Not exactly the welcome we were expecting for a birthday, and this makes me wonder why I bothered giving them my phone number. When we eventually got seated, service was very slow. One of the specials was already 86 at 6:30 pm. As for the food, it was very uneven. The homemade charcuterie and bread were below average and I would recommend against serving things you obviously don't master very well (and charging your customers for them). The rabbit shepherd's pie special was pretty good, the poutine wasn't really a poutine (fries and liquid peppery gravy with a giant lump of cheese at the bottom). The chocolate cookie with fudge arrived in a little cast iron pan but completely cold and I'm still not sure this was really a cookie.

From the outside the Red Dove looks like a low key pub that ma serve up simple burgers and pizza. However, as they say 'don't judge a book by it's cover'. Red Dove is located in an informal room (complete with pressed tin ceiling) but it's menu is imaginative and the food superb. We went right to the entrees and thoroughly enjoyed the salmon (perfectly cooked and nested on a bed of pasta in a light tomato sauce) and the veal meatballs (served in a spicy, coconut broth with peas and broccoli). There's a good wine list with many locale offerings and lots of craft beers on tap. The service was excellent and the prices fair. You can't make reservations.

An informal setting overlooking Seneca Lake, featuring savory and unique dishes made from fresh, âlocally sourced ingredients.â âFinger Lakes wines and craft beers are available by the glass. Reservations Recommended. Maximum group is 8.
Ate at Ports Cafe on Rte 14 South. Very pleasing atmosphere, outstanding service and very good food well prepared. Gets very crowded after 5:30 pm but it accepts reservations. Had flank steak with scallops, fried veggies and mash potatoes. Everything was exquisite. Two people with drinks $120.
