You could experiment by sampling 100 seemingly similar roadside diners in every farflung corner of America in 2018, and come away disappointed or dispairing each time. Not so for Longway's wonderful establishment, which delivers on absolutely every level. Caring, pleasant servers who go the extra mile to coax a smile out of distracted visitors? Check. Blazingly fast kitchen that instantly turns out appealing breakfast plates using fresh local ingredients? Yup. Familiar atmosphere that reassures you there are comfortable points along the road where you might stumble in and exit feeling well cared for? That too. The coffee is just fine. The prices seem a good decade or so behind the times. Longway's is a find, and worth driving at least half-an-hour out of your way to experience.

It's at the corner of route 342 & 37 across the street from the Royal Inn Motel.
The dinner is always full and everyone is running around to keep everyone served. The prices are good for feeding a large family while on vacation. The food was very good but the tables need to be cleared faster as lots of people were waiting for tables that were still a mess from customers leaving. We will sop again for breakfast !

Military dining facility open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Definitely the best on Drum. Very well stocked salad bar, usually good selection of entrees although sometimes things are over cooked. (Thatâs hard to avoid with quantities they are accommodating.) All in all a good choice compared to food court options - and the price is right!

Even though it was late in the evening and close to closing, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. A pleasure to eat there.

Good food, got there right before the rush. Buns weren't toasted, but good overall. Loved the patriotic decor since we were in town to see our soldier. Great location, within walking distance of the hotel.
Went to this place to try it out, we ordered the wing pizza, and some regular hot wings. The wings were great. The pizza was awesome too but it does come with celery on it so if you don't like that let them know. The prices are pretty reasonable. Make sure you look at the special board. We had our order in and looked at it and would have boughten that instead if we had known. It would have made our order 5 bucks cheaper. It doesn't take credit cards cash only! Bottle drinks to choose from, and if you want blue cheese and ranch with your wings it's extra.

Stopped here while visiting our son at Ft Drum. Very conveniently located. Food was hot and staff was friendly. They ran out of thighs so substituted legs. How does a chicken place run out of chicken?? ( our local KFC does frequently too)
