We had breakfast here and it was excellent. We came to visit the antique shops in this very interesting little town. Lots of good value,if you have a good restorer. We only explored Main Street and we were impressed. It's an extremely low key small Town, with absolutely no pretensions. Quaint and slightly run down in a lovely way. Completely Charming.A lot of the architecture is historic. Mostly small charming structures from around the turn of the century, some 19th century architecture. There is a home on Main Street that has been renovated so beautifully with special Gardens. Such a treasure. If I were in the market for a home not far from the Hamptons with character, would choose this town. Excellent value for the money. A lot of artsy people around.Enjoy breakfast or lunch here/ no frills,Just fabulous home cooking.

We had wanted to try the triangle pub for awhile but hadnât gotten around to it, so we came for lunch. It was not as expected. There were some good points-like the service which was excellent and our server was friendly and accommodating. Also the soupsâFrench onion and clam chowder were very good. It took a dive after that. The tuna blt was not as expected with dry over cooked thin tuna and greasy bacon on a Kaiser roll. The seafood platterâs fish were tiny. The shrimp were very small and the amount of flounder was sad. The fish was swimming in butter. The baked potato was served undercooked and needed to be returned. I think itâs a more of a bar crowd who enjoy bar food and beer. So if thatâs what you want this place is perfect. Otherwise head somewhere else.

Family restaurant with bar area. Overlooking pine hills golf course with seasonal outdoor seating. Private & semiprivate catering rooms to accommodate up to 100 guests.
This is a very casual restaurant and the food is solid. Good drinks. We usually go to meet family and I haven't gotten a bad meal here yet.
Part of a successful business includes not only remaining open when itâs convenient for the business, but remaining reliable for the consumer. A business that is closed four days a week isnât doing us or anyone else any good. If I need to get a pie for Thanksgiving or bring pastries to an impromptu night of coffee at a friendâs, I need to know that the bakery I head out to is open before I set my course. It needs to be there for me when I need it, not just on the weekend. It also needs to attract foot traffic to establish a strong customer base. Passing a âclosed todayâ sign four days a week isnât working. With that said, I visited on a Saturday morning twice. There were two different pies/cakes to choose from and maybe a coffee cake and some cookies. Absolutely no selection. What is there a two hour window where you can get what you want in this place? They built all kinds of stuff outside to create a festival-like environment and the community buzzed about the potential for bands and parties and whateverelse. Instead, the place is a ghost town. The food was good, but thereâs more to business. Our customers are very important to us and we appreciate your feedback. Serving the best, freshest baked goods to our community is what we strive for, and we take a lot of pride in accomplishing that. We understand your concerns about only being open three days a week. We arenât planning on opening Monday-Thursday (aside from our extended Thanksgiving and Christmas hours, of course) but we will be here and serving our community from 7am â 4pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.Itâs very rare that we run out of most items on a Saturday morning, so weâre sorry if the selection wasnât great when you came. We start the day with an overflowing showcase with the goal of running out and starting fresh the next day. We think this is part of the allure here, but we do realize that sometimes means running out of items early. We regret that people canât always get what they want, but serving fresh items is very important to us and we wonât keep most items overnight. We do take orders in advance and if there are specific items you would like to request, please let us know! Finally, the outdoor space! We created this space to give people a place to sit and relax, let the kids run around, meet up with friends and family or enjoy a quiet morning with coffee and a pastry. Itâs great to see people using the space every weekend to connect with each other. A couple weeks ago, we had an apple festival where a local author was signing our new childrenâs book, A Big Slice of Pie, which takes its inspiration from Nettieâs. There was live music, face painting, all kinds of apple based baked goods, and a great showing from the community. Weâre hosting a pumpkin festival in October where weâll be pairing our baked goods with beer from Westhampton Brewing Company. Whether itâs a big festival or coffee with a friend, weâre thrilled to see the community enjoying the space! We really hope youâll give us another try, but understand if youâd rather not. We do appreciate the feedback and thank you for taking the time to let us know.

We had dinner here. Ordered the Chicken Pot pie, Fish and Chips and an open face Reuben. All our dishes were very good. Salad came with dinner, it was fine. We went on a quiet night, not live music. Wouldn't mind going back again.

We like to go here to have dinner then watch the parades in town. My husband and I also like to come to the Country Cottage for a quiet breakfast when we take a day off during the week and the kids are at school. They have delicious food. My husband likes the breakfast meals that include fruit and I like the half serving of biscuits and gravy along with other things. Unfortunately they are usually only open for breakfast and lunch, so if you are looking for a cozy little bit of home cooking, this is definitely the place.

Casual family restaurant with a full bar area.Serving Italian American favorites including barbecue fare.Bar seating with 10 t.V.S.. Outdoor seating..Off and on premise catering
I am so upset i havent been to this place sooner. The italian here is off the hook and authentic, the chicken scarperellio is incredible in a lemon butter sauce , sausage garlic in a nice angelhair pasta is to die for. The joes bar pie is made from scratch and puts local pizza parlors to shame. The ribs are huge... i could barely eat half a rack. The deserts need some work. I prefer a real made tarimasu. But all and all its a incredible place.

My first visit to the Moriches Bay Diner was in 2016 and I was impressed with what I had for supper. But my stay in the area was brief so I had but one meal there. This time I was in town for a week at the beach and I went back to the Moriches Bay Diner four times! In my opinion, they have the finest, tastiest Manhattan clam chowder on Long Island. Sure, I am biased and I have not eaten at every restaurant that serves Manhattan chowder but I know what I like and I like the bowl of chowder that I get at the Moriches Bay Diner. They not only excel at the usual diner fare like breakfast dishes and burgers, they do what they call "sautees," dishes that take a little time but so far are worth the wait. I had the Greek pasta with chicken saute and not only was the chicken succulent and nowhere near dry as chicken breast can sometimes be, this dish was so tasty that it did not need any salt or pepper, just me to enjoy it! I finished that meal with coffee and carrot cake that I believe was made on-premises.The service has always been beyond reproach and the diner is spotlessly clean. Yes, it is always a busy place. And I recomment it highly.

We stopped in for dinner and the meal was great, hometown feel and decorations. The history on the menu was a good quick read. We had the catch of the day which was stripped bass it was good, fresh, I had mine blackened and enjoyed every bite. Another meal was theFlounder Franchise, not my taste but my mother loved it. We would define tally go back, service was a little un-attentative and slow so it only got a 4.
