Have been for lunch and dinner a few times now. The food has always been very good, and it's nice to be able to sit outside on the river. They're very popular, and busy especially on the weekends, but it's pleasant waiting at the bar for a table.

What a relaxed homey place for breakfast! They have a great menu with a wide variety of offerings and very reasonable prices.. The service is very friendly and efficient. Their breakfast pastries are wonderful.

Its nice but don't what the hype is about, theres another close by Italian place that's a lot better. The portions were ok, no leftovers. Waiter was great but bus person annoyed us trying to clean up and we weren't done yet. Not in a rush to go back if ever.

Here at Wagon Train BBQ there are a variety of different foods and choices. Our menu lists a variety of meals, sandwiches, salads and more! With the Best Ribs in Rotterdam, Wagon Train BBQ delivers family memories and western interior, we look forward to
On first sight there's allot going on here. Loved the old pics of Billy the kid et al and the old rifles. Parking is a bit overcrowded unless there's more i didn't see. Our server, jenna, was very attentive and personable. We got there around 130pm on a saturday and seated right away. They start you off with a complimentary bowl of popcorn. We got the combo platter of ribs, brisket and pulled pork. I got cole slaw (delicious) and my fiance got beans (not enthused) and pasta salad (better then the beans). The meat was nicely done with smoke ring, good tasting although alittle bland unless you add bbq sauce. We do our own smoking so we like alot of smokey flavor... personal choice. We ended the meal with cannolis which were good but the cherry flavoring masked the cannoli filling taste you usually get. For a wine, beer, 2 combo platters and 2 cannolis our bill came to $79! A bit pricey for lunch but we never go out that way so we'll deal. I'd recommend this place if nothing else for the decor... always something to look at.

I tried cheese curds here for the first time and they were amazing! The sauces were delicious and I was overcome with the yummyness! I also had a very festive sandwich for fall time and was super impressed. By the flavors, even so it was a sandwich. A definite return place!

Best burgers!
The last time I had visited Chuck Wagon Diner was several years ago, and also a few owners ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was still as I remembered. It still has the ambiance of a fifties type diner, and happily, the juke box remains. The food is good, as is the service, and it is very family friendly. I definitely won't wait so long for my next visit.

We were looking for a place out of the ordinary to have dinner. Well, this is the place! Very friendly, with lots of beers on tap and a lovely menu. We really enjoyed the appetizer of clams, white beans and bacon! The beans and greens were wonderful! We also had a delicious clam chowder. ****** five stars for our experience!!

Sometimes I think I'm a food snob because frankly food doesn't often taste worth eating. Everything here was great! We had the mushroom ravioli with short ribs. To die for. The pulled pork sandwich was also very good. Even the Caesar salad was noteworthy with fresh lettuce and a very good dressing. We will be back even though it is out of the way.

Another recent visit to the Home Front Cafe in the picturesque Village of Altamont did not disappoint. A veritable museum of military reminiscence, much of it donated by local veterans, the interior decor is authentic and fascinating. We had a large family group for lunch, so a variety of choices were made from the menu. Everyone liked their food. The service was friendly and efficient. There is always a fine selection of sandwich plates and burgers, breakfast entrees and daily specials. Desserts include high quality pies and cakes. Summer afternoons and evenings also bring a delicious array of gelato and ice creams. With reasonable prices, friendly staff, and good old homestyle cooking, what more could you ask for?
