We have visited Mortar & Pestle Thai restaurant numerous times as it's excellent value if looking for casual night out. However our dinner recently was pretty average. The staff are very friendly and efficient. We prefer WokThai for the food & ambience. Mortar & Pestle is located in Darley Road opposite St Matthew's on the Corso.

Good suburban thai wth 70âs decor and an old fashioned welcome - we were taken by friends who have been going for 30years and reccomended it as a great family restaurant. Dishes were very good across the board, good quality ingredients, well presented, well cooked with vegetables retaining a little crunch which is ideal and very reasonable prices.Friendly service and we were asked about food allergies which they and helpful in advising appropriate dishes.Busy on a Friday and from the number of people our friends knew itâs clearly a local favourite - good to book a table. Reccomended if in the area.

We had lunch. How about this no thank you or hi. Had to wait 10 minutes to put the order and then we had one dish main served. Next one 5 minutes later. Even the starters came at the end. And we complained they just laughed. Food was good but the staff attitude was the worse I ever seen manly. Either they are not getting paid well or mismanagement can be the issue.

Dropped in on a Friday evening, and it was busy in the restaurant and takeaways. Nice layout in the restaurant, and it looks good.We had a couple of entrees, the duck pancakes were good, but the calamari wasnât quite cooked enough and the batter wasnât good.Followed by a couple of Tom Yum Prawn soups. The broth was good, but for $12 Iâd have expected more than two prawns. I wouldnât rush back.

Went out for a short walk for lunch and found Wockbar, just wish we had one at home!! The tofu salad and selection of dumplings (the spinach and prawn dumplings were our favourite ) made for a really tasty, satisfying lunch. The service was friendly, the meals promptly served and at $40 for the salad, 4 serves of dumplings and 2 cold drinks was reasonable value. Only in Manly for a couple of days, hope we can get back

Monkey King Thai locates in 4 locations: Lindfield, Newport, Narrabeen and Stockland Balgowlah. We are your local Thai kitchen, offering authentic Thai street food and a genuine experience.
Went in for the all you can eat deal we saw on social media, so disappointed meal sizes were so small, very bland and unacceptable for Thai food. Went onto trip advisor and read reviews all positive reviews were all from 1 post people( very questionable). Beware of the sales pitch and bogus reviews.

This would be truly one of my top five Sydney restaurants. I grew up in Manly so I am always heading over to the Northern Beaches and this restaurant ALWAYS delivers! I highly recommend sharing some dishes with friends if you are looking for interesting Thai food with a twist and it's BYO too.

This Thai restaurant was in a laneway of Manly Corso and had lunches from around $8.50.I had the drunken basil chicken noodles ($10) and my wife had the basil prawn stir fry ($12) We also ordered some takeaway for the next day.The meals were extremely tasty and were a great cheap lunch. Luncj options are more limited than the dinner selections.Great open kitchen with the fresh food sliced and available to view in the glass window.A highly recommended thai restaurant.
