Been here many times to enjoy very tasty vegetarian southern Indian-style food, having both the all-you-can-eat buffet and the a-la-carte both on regular nights and their special "banquet" nights. Food is always tasty, plentiful and amazingly cheap as well as healthy-eating. Friendly staff that makes the overall experience one you'll want to continually come back to - as we do. Can recommend the Masala Dosa: compares favorably to the best I've had after eating in very many Indian restaurants.

My husband and I costed Zaffran for an impromptu dinner and we are so very happy that we did!! We were greeted so warmly by the waitress then seated at a table for two which felt intimate and comfortable.Raj, the owner, introduced himself and advised us on certain dishes and the correct naan bread which would be the perfect accompaniment.I would highly recommend the black lentils, dal, cauliflower with potatoes and the butter naan which was crisp on the outside and lightly layered on the inside. We were poured complimentary red wine and felt we were being treated as very special guests. To complete our meal we chose house made pistachio ice cream made with a pinch of saffron and cardamon. We left with such big smiles on our faces. What a perfect and lovely evening. Thank you so much!! We canât wait to return.

We stumbled across this place when passing through after a long trip. We love indian and this is by far the greatest indian we have ever had. The food was succulent and delicious, but the fresh garnishes that accompanied the dishes were what sets this restaurant a step above all the rest! Could not recommend this place highly enough.

Stumbled on this Indian eatery by chance. It was busy, always a good sign. Food on display, looked fresh and tempting. Had curry, rice and naan - all delicious and not expensive. Cafe type tables, very casual and unpretentious. Would certainly recommend for value for money.

Visited this nice and swanky Indian Fine Dinning Restaurant in Newcastle recently and have just got hooked to it.The food is simply excellent (XCLNT) and is served with a smile.Chef Lovekesh is best at his job, do ask for his recommendation for the day. My colleague loved the Prawns Briyani and I fell for the Chicken 65, simply superb.
