For many years, 17 for some, our group has played golf at Cobram Barooga around this time of year. As often happens we chose the Barooga Hotel for a dinner. They accommodated our group in what we nickname the boardroom at the front. Meals were substantial and very good. Prices were competitive but our choice was wine was dearer than nearby clubs. The staff handled a group of 60 year plus grumpy golfers exceedingly well. In the past we have enjoyed many games of pool the courtesy bus awaited. Thanks Thomas, we appreciate your kind sentimentsCheers,GG

After a four hour trip from Gippsland, we stopped and enjoyed a late lunch here. Thoughts of savoury food left my mind after spotting the magnificent Lemon Meringue Tart- made with the Cafeâs own organic lemons! Spectacular! Well done ladies. Great food, lots of choice, friendly smiles and prompt and efficient service.

Went here for lunch on a recommendation from our accommodation house.Pleasant venue, very popular which is always a good sign.Offered a good deal for seniors with an included complimentary drink.Wide ranging menu indicating plenty of gluten free options: disappointing then that my roast of the day did not come with gf gravy: most places these days claiming to serve gf generally get a gravy and sauces in the mix. Had to settle for some mustard on the side.Service was very, very slow: took over 45 minutes for the roast of the day, which you would anticipate EOI,d be pretty well ready yo go. That said, it was a good meal with the meat cooked to perfection.Only 3 star on this occasion but it could easily have been much more highly rated.

Went for dinner and drinks. Good food and service and prices are very reasonable. Good atmosphere with friendly people.
Charming rustic cafe, with spacious tables and couches to relax in. Beautiful bushland setting, plenty of parking, friendly service, great food and coffee. Went there for lunch with the young family and loved it. Easily the best option in town as far as Iâm concerned and definitely worth the short detour from the Main Street. Even saw kangaroos in the nearby bushland.

I've resisted the temptation of reviewing this place but after several visits and EVERY time the counter staff got my order wrong!Latte not cappuccino x 2Then told by a senior staff member that lattes and cappuccinos were the SAME [ oh dear] "I'll put sprinkles on it if that makes you happy" if staff don't know the difference between a latte and cappuccino they should not be making coffee. Next visit I asked for a skinny milk cappuccino in a cup,the young girl said " that was a latte wasn't it?" BTW she was not wearing hearing aides!!! then asked if I'd like sugar, I said I'll put the sugar in myself, she then proceeded to make the coffee in a take-away cup even though I had not indicated that's what I wanted, again she did not listen.I took my seat at a table and overheard another customer complaining her coffee was not what she ordered, glad to know it's not just me!!Management really need to re train staff in coffee making and listening to their customers requests.Good Morning and thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed to learn that you have had has issues with your orders multiple times. Please know that we understand this type of service is unacceptable and not the image we want for our business. Now that we have been made aware, we will be using this feedback to educate and offer additional training to our staff. Thanks again and happy travels!

Our first full day in Tocumwal and we were up and searching for somewhere for a coffee. We had noticed the Old Bank the day before and was hoping this might be open and luckily it was. We walked in and my husband went in search of a table while I went to order. I ordered a coffee each and also a fruit loaf serve for Robb, he is partial to fruit loaf. Our coffees arrived and they were good and then the fruit loaf turned up, I don't normally eat it because it always disappoints me but I did have a quarter share and it was really good. It was lovely there sitting overlooking the river, it was a beautiful day and of course this helped. The staff were very friendly and we had more than one laugh with them while being served and paying for our order.
