We had time to kill after buying our tickets for the early morning paddle steamers ... we happenstanced upon this cafe inside the hotel and stopped for a cuppa. It's so inviting to step into. The sunlight lit the verandah up. As we stepped inside we were immediately impressed by the subway tiles that lined the serving area. We ordered coffees and made our way to a table. We sat near the window so we could look out and it was just a delight to watch the early morning world awaken before us. The coffee was outstanding and they even supplied a little biscuit with it.
Partner and l dined at the 1895 The Royal Hotel recently.Being a Thursday night, discovered Thursday night is hamburger night, so we decided to have dinner at the venue. We arrived just before the kitchen closed at 8pm, but were able to be served,You can eat in the bar area, but we chose to eat in the main dining area, a large area past the bar.Five choices of hamburgers to choose from on the menu, not sure whether you can choose hamburgers on another day or the hamburger sheet is removed from the menu on other days. The hamburger came with a small basket of chips, $17.50.The meal was very good, but my only concern was with the beef? patty. Not solid like a cooked beef patty, but very soft meat.Jury is out as to whether the beef patty was in fact beef.Weâre glad you had a great experience, and thanks for the detailed review! Our beef pattyâs are house made, so we can assure you we use real beef. Hope to see you back again soon, maybe on a Tuesday to try out our $14.95 Parma night? 9 toppings to choose from and add a schooner of beer or soft drink for $4!

I have been to this place a couple of years ago with poor results, but thought it could only improve however not so went with three other people to have a meal last Saturday night not many people there which is probably the result of the food being so bad.I had a soup which was almost uneatable the rest of the group had steaks which where tough, dry and of poor quality. We didn't bother complaining because management in there blind stupidity take no notice at all. This place is on its way out and probably won"t exist in a years time and wouldn't now only for the golf course. Take my advice do not have a meal here as you will be disappointed.Hi Ian, Whilst we are disappointed that you did not have a positive experience, we are more disappointed that you did not let anyone know at the time as we could have rectified the mistakes. I assure you that management take any feedback seriously. With stage one of our renovations due to complete before Christmas, we are excited about our future more than ever!

Port 53 is best described as a âSeafood Bar Grillâ Restaurant with both French Creole and Cajun influences. Our philosophy has always been to use the best local ingredients to showcase what the region has to offer. Port 53 is a true harbor of local food,
We were so looking forward to this meal and came away very disappointed. Our entree oysters at $16 for three were minuscule and the crumb was raw. My salmon was okay but my husband's creole slow boil at $45 was very small, a bit bland and there was no sign of spicy sausage that was to be included. We left disappointed and hungry, the only saving grace was the service which was okay.

Having been to Echuca many times it wasn't until the hotel reception recommended this hotel we decided to give it a go.From the outside it looks like any other pub/bistro. Once through the door we found a well appointed fresh atmosphere with good lighting and very helpful staff. There appears to be a few different areas inside and also a beer garden outside.Soon after being seated we were asked for our drinks order, and there was no rush to have made our selections when the drinks were delivered. After sorting through a good choice we selected the roast of the day pork. When the meals arrived they were a generous size. I was able to finish mine but no room for dessert.Having enjoyed the meal we returned the next night with the intention of ordering something smaller and having dessert. Well same thing happened no room for dessert. LOL.All the meals were well cooked and well presented. All the staff were watchful and quick for any service required.A now must go restaurant everytime we visit.

Was organising a booking for some drinks and nibbles on the rooftop. Unfortunately it was really difficult to deal with you guys. Communication was difficult, I would email and you guys wouldn't respond. It all worked out OK, but your events person wasn't exactly super helpful! Also, the food that was brought out and what I confirmed were different. Bit disappointing for such a great venue. Hi Tim, Unfortunate to hear that your experience was not to the high standard that we strive for. Our functions manager has been notified of your review and is motivated to do better in future. We look forward to putting on our high standard of service for you the next time you come in to #eatdrinkplay !

The food here is always great, but we love hitting the Border Inn when we go to Moama because itâs just a good old fashioned pub and the beer is C O L D. I ate the pork and it was delicious. My friends had the calamari and the steak and both were happy. It did seem difficult to get the attention of staff to order our meals and I had to go to the bar to confirm it was table service. Itâs frustrating to see staff standing chatting to each other and they look at you, look away and donât acknowledge that youâre making eye contact for a reason! Highly recommend this pub and always happy to visit here for a meal and a beer! Hi yesplease, thanks for the awesome feedback. The Pork belly certainly is delicious. Its great you could celebrate with some friends at the Border inn and we delivered for you. Sorry about the little confusion we will get that sorted. Our 24 beer taps are all icy cold along with a great variety in the Bottleshop as well. You can get some great value with our free members program next time you are in as well a definite must. Thanks again for the great review. Cheers
