San Martino is quite possibly served the worst meal out I've ever had; this is an accomplishment, because it means that a chinese meal which gave me food poisoning tops it. At least that meal tasted good on the way down.We visited as part of a wine tour, so pre-ordered from a 4-option menu. I selected the spinach and mushroom risotto and my friends chose the beef cheeks. The risotto was under-cooked, flavourless and I searched for a long time to find the spinach; four baby leaves. The feedback about the beef cheeks was that they too were flavourless.I can't really comment on the service, because there wasn't any. The waitress never checked on how we were finding our meal. I`m guessing this is because she knew the response she would get.I suppose I could have got up, found a wait-person and pointed out how bad the food was, but then again, given that the chef obviously saw it fit to serve it up and we had already paid for it, I'm not sure it would have made any difference. Anyway, if you're in the region and feeling hungry, find somewhere else

This place has a really nice beer garden. But Itâs just a tourist trap and overpriced charging for $23 for a frozen pizza. Got a beer paddle and didnât drink it, the beer was also ordinary. Very disappointing indeed.

Four of us lunched to celebrate a birthday. Wine list to compete with any.Delicious food to share and impeccable service all combined to give a wonderful experience. We shared salmon rillette and croquettes to start, followed by lamb and pork, cooked to perfection and teamed with cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and potato mash. More than enough but couldn't resist two delicious desserts to share as well. All in all an experience to remember. Thank you

Modern Australian yet regionally distinctive in style, the menu at Restaurant Botanica is focused on seasonality and freshness, perfectly complemented by an award-winning wine list and stunning views looking out across our private vineyard to the Brokenba
Sensational experience to tantalise all your senses. We arrived a little early, sitting by the flickering fire we relaxed, absorbing the atmosphere. The music, soft lighting, sensational food (I canât recommend this enough), great service, made it the perfect evening for our last night in the Hunter celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Note: The previous photos on trip adviser donât do this venue justice. Itâs stunning!Dear DavidnMichele, Thank you for sharing your recent dining experience at Restaurant Botanica. Our team are very proud of the service we provide to our guests, and it is with feedback such as this that we continue to strive for even more ways of giving the most memorable dining experience in the Hunter Valley. Our sumptuous Mediterranean Meze menu uses fresh seasonal produce from our on-site kitchen garden and is designed to pair perfectly with our estate grown wines. The Mega Meze and Meze Feasts are designed for slow grazing overlooking our picturesque vineya
Just returned from a Father's Day breakfast and found the whole experience a little disappointing. The staff were friendly and attentive, although they were not sure of were orders were suppose to be delivered. The venue is very good, with a lovely outlook and very pleasant surroundings. The meals we ordered were not that spectacular considering the price we paid. Not a whole lot of flavour considering they say they source local and organic. Definitely have had much better. Coffee was good.I wouldn't recommend or return.

With a modern Australian menu, local wines and views of Windsorâs Edge vineyard, Amandaâs has been a favourite restaurant for both tourists and locals for more than two decades. Located in Pokolbin, on McDonalds Road, weâre right in the heart of the Hunte
On the recommendation of a vineyard we visited we decided to try Amanda's on the Edge for dinner that Tuesday night. We went on line and were able to get a booking for 7:30pm and on arrival we were glad we booked as the restaurant was full. Its located beside a vineyard in the 'middle of nowhere' but the countryside views from our table were excellent and we settled in for what turned out to be a very enjoyable experience for the four of us.The staff are brilliant, the food was superb and the wine was excellent. The restaurant was still a hive of activity when we departed about two hours after arrival. What a great recommendation!
