We struggled to find much good about this place. The views are itâs best feature. The food is pretty awful. For example, the chicken Maryland has seemingly been boiled to a mush. The accompanying colcannon was awful mush too. The arancini was the best dish we had. The brisket was bland and dry. What restaurant provides paper sachets of salt? Most cafes these days offer better than that.At least the waiters were friendly and enquired about why we hadnât finished the meal. Hi elainer428,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy our food. All customer feedback is very valuable and we will definitely share your comments with our Chef for review so that we can improve.Kind Regards, The Lookout Echo Point

Upstairs from Palette Dining we have a wonderful casual diner with a modern cocktail bar. Serving Burgers, Ribs & Fried chicken the Palette way.
We visited recently on a Saturday night and the place was very busy. Sadly they were understaffed. This meant that the wait was long. When the first cocktail arrived I was blown out of the water. The burgers are amazing and the side dishes are enough for two people. The place is pricey but is certainly worth it. I would rush back if I ever get a chance in the future.Sincere apologies for the delay in responding to your review. As a small business owner operator it is sometimes hard to find the time to do everything. However we are always grateful when our guests take the time to write a review and so I am here to say thank you.Thank you for your positive review. It makes a difference to a team that out their hearts and souls into what they do. It keeps the team motivated and for that we are thankful. We do hope 2019 is good to you.All the best from the team at Palette Dining

We eat here about once a month. Good food at decent prices and reserved but efficient service. It keeps us coming back. And we will be back again. Hence the 4 out of 5 rating. We had dinner on Wednesday night and something must have gone wrong in the kitchen because our food took FOREVER. It seemed we werent the only people as most of the tables had no food for what seemed a long time. All the customers were staring at each other with "what is going on?" expression. This is actually the 3rd time this has happened to us over the last 5 months. No explanation from staff and we didn't want to ask as everyone seemed a little frazzled. Plus the food was a bit slap dash (in a rush to get things out?) - one dish had 2 serves of salad instead of chips and salad, my steak was rare instead of medium rare, the mash was hard and lumpy. Husbands pork sausages were delicious and perfect though. As commented on above, we will come again and I still recommend it to anyone that asks as the best place to get a decent, hearty meal at good prices in Katoomba. And in winter the restaurant is really cosy with the fire going. But I thought our experience worth mentioning given this wasn't a once off occurrence.

Built 1903, stunning Edwardian era architecture. Hotel & Restaurant located in The Blue Mountains 1.5 hrs drive from Sydney. Food, bars, open fires, VIP room and Library. Accommodation x 10 rooms. Close to transport and Leura Mall
We patron The Alex several times a month to eat and have a few drinks with our friends and family and have been so pleased with the new owner's menu as well as the decor changes. We were very concerned to arrive on Sunday afternoon to Life and Death Bikies (in colours) throughout the pub and it was hard to concentrate with bikes revving so frequently within close proximity. It was obvious that many customers felt uncomfortable and some intimidated. After speaking to other locals the gang is now frequenting the pub regularly and the overall vibe of the place has changed. So sad as we love coming here. The situation was a 1 off and wonât happen again. It is not who we are.We are a community pub.

We love this place! They have a great range of cocktails and top shelf spirits. I'd recommend the champagne cocktails and the French martini - delish! The staff are friendly and accommodating. The bar is located in the historic Carrington Hotel so you're surrounded by old world charm! Highly recommended.

The Old City Bank Brasserie offers an informal dining experience - wood-fired pizzas, burgers, pastas, steaks & the freshest salads. Located at the bottom of the main hotel driveway, upstairs from the Old City Bank Bar, the multi award-winning Brasserie i
We came in here on a busy Saturday night. The atmosphere is great and the food is even better! I had the Mexican burger which was fabulous and my partner had the pork tacos which were also good. The only let down is the staff, one of which was quite rude and swearing quite loud and frequently. Overall, it was a a good pub feed and I would go back.
