The Railway is one of Armidale's oldest pubs, serving the local community for over 130 years. This grand old dame has new owners, renovations underway, top notch pub grub from 1879 Bistro, an independent bottle shop and a number of spaces for functions an
I often visit this pub when Iâm in Armidale. It has an excellent feel about it with plenty of room & areas to sit depending on what mood you are in or what you are doing. The food is excellent on the extensive menu, though I rarely go for anything outside of the cutlets, mash & mushroom sauce. The staff are friendly & attentive - you canât really ask for much more. Highly recommended for a meal or just a few drinks.

This wine bar has an interesting history with Charlie standing up against the power of Woolworths! There is a good range of cocktails and wines to choose from with wine by the bottle or by the glass. It would have been good to have seen a few more of the local vineyards and breweries represented here. The place has aircond but the night we were there was very humid and it could have done with some fans to circulate the air. The night we were there there was live music which was ok and it is a relaxing place to have a drink at the end of the night.

The Mill Bistro, located within the Armidale Ex-Services Club (Servies), has a nice atmosphere, great food and beverages and is fully wheelchair accessible. Place your order and pay at the Bistro cashier prior to taking a seat at your favourite table with your 'buzzer' in hand. Enjoy the company of family and friends while you wait for the buzzer to let you know that your order is ready, then enjoy the tasty and reasonably priced meal. Highly recommend the Roast of the Day and the Mixed Grill washed down with a Lemon Squash. Nice deserts also on offer including cakes and slices which you can enjoy with a cup of coffee. Accessible designated carparks are available in the Servies carpark at the rear, as well as at the front of the building, or at the nearby shopping centre with ramp access into the club. Once inside it's flat, carpeted flooring to the Bistro.
