This is a really good Lebanese restaurant, authentic, tasty and fresh. It is located just down the street from the Belvoir Theatre and great for a pre-show meal, however its a short walk up a really steep hill to the theatre. Not great if you have a fully belly of food!

Efendy

Efendy means gentleman in old Turkish, but everyone is welcome here. Located on the corner of Darling and Elliott Streets, in a historic sandstone Victorian mansion, Efendy is a modern Turkish restaurant, complete with a basement bar, run by Istanbul-born

Attended for a friends birthday. Not knowing what to order we had the banquet- and it did not disappoint. Everything was presented beautifully, explained as each dish came out and tasted amazing- especially the eggplant dip. Wine list is a little expensive- international wines I can understand but the local wines need to be more reasonably priced. I would higly recommend going for good food, nice atmosphere (open fire was on) and lovely staff.

Anason - Turkish Restaurant

Have been here numerous times before but first time under new chef and with new menu. Not impressed. Some favourites have been retired (barramumdi) with new ones such as barbounia and snapper not up to scratch as they were way overcooked. The entrees have gone bland from their previous sharp tastes. Best on the night was the imported baklava and the coffee for which I will go again for - after having dinner elsewhere!

Nour Sydney

Nour is built on a dream of presenting classic Lebanese flavors in a fresh, exciting way. Who said falafel has to roll to the same old beat, meal after meal? Why does eggplant only get to hang out smashed with tahini? Don't you think the humble vine leaf

Saturday night is NOT the night to dine at this over priced restaurant. Besides the feeling of being on the set of the Kardashians or Shahs of Sunset ... the large obnoxious table of 14 seated right next to us got louder and louder as they got more inebriated ... ending in the “gentleman” of the table having a flatulence contest at the table !Tried to change tables but was told “sorry we are too busy”.Oh, the food is ok but over priced.

Rainy Sunday morning we turned up at Kepos Street Kitchen which was full. Friendly host offered us an umbrella to take to their partner cafe (Kepos and Co) a few doors away. We were not disappointed. K&Co is set in a delightful open courtyard overlooking cascading flowers, a pool and stone walls with spacious outdoor tables. Efficient, professional staff and top class coffee. Try the Shakshuka eggs for breakfast - you'll want to go back. We certainly will, next time in the area.
