Went to this restaurant earlier this month and loved it. Quintessentially French. Intimate atmosphere without being noisy. Great food and excellent wine list with a good range of wines by the glass. The amuse Boucher and complimentary mini dessert were nice touches. Service was attentive. We will be back!Calling us 'quintessentially French' is the best kind of compliment! Thank you for the lovely review and we look forward to welcoming you back to Bitton soon.

They are close to getting a 5 stars if the prices are 10-15% cheaper. At $18-$20 for a breakfast dish the prices are high for a small cafe in this area. The food and coffee were good and the lady served us always have a lovely smile. The seating was ok though they could clean the place better after the morning session. Overall it's a good place for breakfast.

A special night- we love French cuisine and have no French restaurants in Newcastle. Very authentic French menu, delicious food, lovely friendly waitress, special visit by the chef, who put a birthday candle on our shared crepe and sang happy birthday for my wife's birthday. BYO with reasonable corkage by Sydney standards. The only negative was a strange smell my wife detected on entry - not a huge problem, but a little off putting!!

We regularly visit the Bavarian before going to see a movie. We usually just get a couple of entrees and a salad, as their servings are generous, and I love their calamari and chicken tenders. The service by the young barman/waiter named Arky was excellent.
