I was one of a large group staying at the Hotel where the Palate Restaurant is located and was very impressed with the quality of the food and the size of the servings. The menu was extensive and had something for everyone. Each night we were there the restaurant was being patronised by large groups of locals. Breakfasts were also of generous servings. The staff were all very friendly and cheerful. Well worth a visit.

Roth's Wine Bar instills the very essence of Mudgee, and country NSW, combining the old with the new. Steeped in history and licensed since 1923, Roth's has one of the oldest wine bar licenses in the country and to this day serves the very best wines Mudg
Function booked for a Sydney run club to celebrate post Mudgee Marathon. This place was fantastic. Very welcoming with very friendly & helpful staff. Nibblies followed by Wood Fired Pizzas was great & plenty of it. Entertainment was good with everybody up dancing and letting their hair down.Atmosphere & décor was great mixing old with the new making you feel like you were in Mudgee. Good selection of beers & wine priced reasonably. Overall great afternoon/night and highly recommend to anyone staying in Mudgee

Being a fine day after a very cold week, we decided to take a drive and have lunch. We were going to have Lunch in Sofala, but were surprised at the way the owner of the cafe treated her staff so rudely, so left and decided we would try our luck in Mudgee. We did not have time to make a booking, so decided we would just try our luck. Had heard great things about Di Lusso, so drove in to find the place was packed with diners, even at after 2pm. We were offered a lovely table in the garden, and also were told we were more than welcome for our 2 dogs to sit with us.Although there was a slight delay for our meal, it was more than enjoyable just sitting in the beautiful surrounds. Having recently returned from Italy we had the antipasto pizza for an entree, and it was excellent. My wife had the roast vegetable stack and I tried the "Lollipop Lamb Cutlets" and we both thoroughly enjoyed them. As I was driving, did not try the wines, but a friend told me they are from old Italian vines and thoroughly recommended them. So definitely look forward to trying them next time we are in Mudgee!
