Cooma Thai has an experienced chef from Bangkok serving you authentic Thai food made from fresh ingredients locally sourced where possible. Our meals are just as cooked in Thailand & not modified for western countries - we use authentic herbs & don't add
I read the reviews and I thought we really should eat here. I ordered Fish Cakes first and it was cooked to perfection. At first bite, you can already smell the aroma of the ingredients used and gradually you can taste subtle spiciness. I had the Mix Meat Fried Rice without Tofu, my husband had Mix Meat Fried Rice Noodles with Tofu and my eldest son had the Kidsâ Chicken Satay with Rice. My 2 year old was still asleep so I didnât order for him. Surprise...surprise! The Kidâs Chicken Satay is like a regular portion in most Thai restaurants in Sydney and Newcastle. And according to my son, the taste was so delicious. My food and my husbandâs were both yum! If I wasnât full because of the big portion, I really would love to order some more of my husbandâs food. Yes, I pinch his food every now and then....especially when it looks so delicious. Unlike most restaurants where thereâs a meat shortage in most dishes, Cooma Thai is extremely generous with meat as in abundant! Because I enjoyed our food, I ordered for takeaway a Chicken Fried Rice for my 2 year old. I asked them not to put the green leafy vegetables because my son still finds it hard to digest. I was so impressed that the cook added more eggs to supplement the lack of vegetables. The price is extremely reasonable, I think we paid only $40+ for everything. The restaurant was so relaxed...not fancy but very clean. I loved the fact that the waiter has conservative table manners....he doesnât take plates from your table while someone is still eating and until someone has remained seated. Itâs very seldom that I see it practiced even in restaurants in 4Star Hotels. This might be a small restaurant but itâs very classy!Great to hear you happy!

We were travelled thru and had read previous reviews. It is a large, roomy restaurant. We ordered from the lunch menu, curried prawns with fried rice and Thai chilli calamari with fried rice. We shared these two dishes. The serving sizes are very generous, in fact just one dish between us would have been enough. Our meals came out quickly and very well presented. The tasted delicious and the quantity of prawns was super generous. Our meal was fantastic and great value. Curried prawns were $10.50 and the Thai calamari was $13.50. We noticed lots of locals were also having lunch, that is always a good sign of great food. Highly recommend this restaurant and it will always be on our list when we are passing thru town

Was passing through town with my family when we stopped here for dinner. Tried the hot and sour soup, spring rolls, honey chicken, beef with garlic, and mixed stir fry veggies - all were delicious and the service was quick. 10 out of 10 would go again.
