Fresh Asian street food served in a hip art haven by day, and a playful den by night.
Up in the main shopping area car parking this fun cafe has plenty to offer. Relaxed and comfortable, the food is genuine Vietnamese with fresh, spicy and herby foods. Lots of chilli, lime, coriander and fish sauce, yum. The menu has lots of, to go, rolls and wraps and a good selection of sit down salads, fish cakes and street food. Great flavours, reasonable prices and young happy servers. Hmmm might go again tomorrow. Delish

Light Years Byron Bay brings you a fresh take on contemporary Asian food, served on a lush tropical patio. Enjoy amazing cocktails and shared dishes with groups, friends and family.
Great little restaurant with a big vibe. Authentic Vietnamese food cooked to perfection. Menu is designed for sharing. Worth mentioning are the won tons, pork belly bao buns, duck pancakes & Asian greens. You simply canât go past the pannacotta for dessert. They have a good cocktail menu & the staff are really friendly. Highly recommend dining here but definitely need to make a booking because itâs very popular.

Fresh coastal Mexican fare in a bright and breezy restaurant just out of Byron Centre. Chupacabra focuses on local produce and seafood, vibrant flavours and authentic Mexican techniques including hand-pressed tortillas, zingy ceviches, and punchy classic
Three and a half starsBut would I leave Byron Bay for it? This is a cantina with a small lunch menu. There is a bigger menu for dinner and I actually think it would have more atmosphere for dinner. We started with margaritas. Everyone had the classic but I tried the spicy pineapple margarita and it was the bomb. They have a great wine list and I am always happy when the wine list includes a Vermentino. Despite the great food, cocktails & funky decor I donât think it has much atmosphere. I think the addition of music would help. However, I think it would work right on the beach as itâs super casual. The restaurant is in the back car park behind shops and our view was of piled up empty bread trays and delivery trucks. A few hanging plants would disguise the ordinary outlook. We all agreed the steak, fish tacos and pork tacos were the best weâve ever eaten. We also tried the cricket and avocado tostadas and they were something fun to try plus itâs an authentic Mexican dish. The brownie was nice and gooey with lovely spices but it didnât have the crunchy top one expects of a brownie. The waitress was amazing and was working very hard. Again lots of pluses but I wouldnât leave the atmosphere of Byron Bay for it but if I was staying in Suffolk Park, which Iâve only done once, I would be very happy for this restaurant addition. Thankyou for taking time to review us, 15kimg. We're so glad you enjoyed everything you ate and drank and appreciated the true Mexican flavour! You are right that when the lights go down on our little carpark at night the atmosphere changes, we hope you will come and visit us for dinner sometime and let us show you! Gracias!
