With a pretty basic menu and odd service the waitress was friendly and the food was good considering how out in the country Bathurst is. We both had the chicken parmigiana(pictured). I wouldn’t come here unless I was visiting the famous racetrack. A great spot if you’re into the motor racing.

Our party of four enjoyed the $40 three course lunch special at the Parkview on Sunday.Wow! Food was presented beautifully, and attention to detail was fantastic. We were seated on the balcony overlooking the park - it was warm and comfortable without being too glarey on a sunny winter afternoon.Louise was her usual warm, welcoming self, and we were all made to feel valued - it felt like we could have been the only customers in the restaurant, and the complimentary crisp bread with balsamic vinegar and spiced salt was a nice touch while we were deciding what to order from the special lunch menu. The goats cheese bruschetta was a taste treat, as was the rum and coffee braised beef brisket - perfect portion sizes to boot. The medley of mixed oysters were beautifully presented, and a treat for the taste buds. The field mushroom and haloumi was in my opinion, the best dish of the day - perfectly cooked, and wonderfully aromatic on its bed of warm salsa. Delicious! Our guests were also very complimentary about the Spinach and Walnut ravioli, and the Shredded Rabbit Lumaconi. The Parkview would have to be the best value fine dining in Bathurst, and the friendly service is faultless. Do yourself a favour, and give it a go.Highly recommended! We are so glad you took the time to write such a complimentary review Keith, it is greatly appreciated.

We called in here after enjoying lunch at Piccolo's a few doors down. Made some small purchases and enjoyed the experience. Only negative is that we felt we didn't have enough time just to browse as a staff member approached and we felt she was really pushing to up sell and we felt a little uncomfortable. Having said that, I did make some purchases and would def returnHi Irnbru, Thank you for taking the time to review our place. I will pass on your comments regarding the pushing to up sell.
