We were a table of 4. There were only 2 waitresses looking after the entire restaurant. Although busy the restaurant was not packed. We waited 15 minutes to have our order taken. For some reason the waitress taking our food order was unable to take our drinks order so we waited another 15 minutes to have our drink order taken. We received one entree and then waited 15 minutes for the next two entree dishes. Finally our drinks arrived. We were then given a bowl of rice for our table and after waiting 10 minutes expecting our main meals we decided to pay for what we had eaten and leave. We were in the restaurant for over an hour and all we'd had were drinks and entrees. Although very pleasant the staff were clearly overwhelmed.
A small niche venue well worth a visit.. a great meal at Bokbok at Cronulla tonight. We had the Betel leaf the fish cakes, fresh tiger rolls, the Wild Ginger King Prawn with garlic rice... all dishes were delicious and the favours were true Thai and taste amazing. You wonât get any fresher....

The food here is very good with a menu suitable for most covering a range of options. The service was perfect and the atmosphere was great. Good authentic Thai food, very nice staff and a great location goes along way to a great night out.

I went to this restaurant quite a few times a few years ago and it was great - good variety of Vietnamese food and the Thai was good too. I returned with someone who wanted to try Vietnamese and was very disappointed. Obviously it has changed hands or chef - but the menu is very different and there is little Vietnamese food to choose from, it is mostly Thai. The Thai was ok - nothing really special. Two of the soups were quite bland and not spicy enough. The Thai we got was ok, but with so many good Thai restaurants to go to, I wouldn't choose this one again for the Thai food. Very disappointed and wont be returning.
A few of us have eaten here a while ago. Intimate afternoons/evenings. We loved it!A large group of us went there Thursday night (17/1) and all had a blast!Service, food and atmosphere could not be beaten for an on point Thai restaurant. Well done floor staff and kitchen! A great night with luscious food, good friends and cheap corkage. Go the Pad Thai, steamed Barra and other other dish. Cheap, fresh and yummo!!

It was in 1990 when our head chef Tina first introduced the taste of her home country, Thailand, to the beachside suburb of Cronulla. Since then, Montien Tong has firmly established itself as a local favourite, dishing up delicious Thai food from the firs
Shared a great meal with 7 friends at Montien. Delicious food esp seafood coconut curry and duck & basilstir fry.$30 each and we were all full and content. Staff very friendly and BYO. Highly recommended.

Lovely and fresh, great portions, service was friendly and prompt. Nice outlook and ambience. Good for date night, friends or family. I loved the pad Thai. We shared a number of dishes and enjoy them all. Very reasonably priced for such quality.

I attended this restaurant with my wife and daughter for the first time tonight and was extremely disappointed. The service was extremely poor. We were initially put on a table that had a significant incline. When we asked to move they said they were completely booked yet they had two similar tables nearby that were empty. Half way through our meal they eventually moved us ( to one of the nearby empty tables). In addition:* we ordered two glasses of Chardonnay, but never received them - when I brought it to the waitresses attention at the end of the night, she said â O yeah, I will make sure I take it off the billâ* we asked for chopsticks and never received them;* we werenât aware that there were any specials as we were not offered any, so we ordered off the menu. We then saw other customers that were all offerred the specials....do when I brought this to the waitressâs attention, she said they were under staffed, and that they shouldnât accept customers who walk in off the street... I said how does that stop you from offering the restaurant specials ...I got not answer* the bill was brought out to us when we didnât even ask for it ( we werenât even offerred deserts or coffee).... when I highlighted to the staff member that as first time diners to the restaurant we were very disappointed, the staff member just took the credit card from my hand tapped the machine and said â I will make sure to let them knowâExtremely dissatisfied and will never return
