Its a breath of fresh air to have a healthy option in MacArthur Square. I've been coming here since they opened in May. The staff are all amazing and so genuinely friendly and helpful. I love the health food section of the store than sells everything from healthy makeup and shampoos to vodka pasta sauce. The best part is the coffee shop/ restaurant part. There is a lot of seating and the menu is great. There are lots of paleo, vegan and gluten free options. I love the healthy desert cabinet. You just have to remember that these might be healthy but still a sometimes food as when they first opened I was there every afternoon after work for a coffee and cake. It showed on the scales so now back to making it an occasional treat. I've tried some of the hot food as well. There has not been one thing that has been anything less than amazing. If you are used to processed sugar loaded food you may not appreciate the food here. People that are health conscious are going to love it. I can't remember the smoothies name but the one with ginger and yum Eric and mango etc is to die for. The barista knows what she is doing she never , ever burns the coffee. If I'm time poor I get a snack to go. I've heard people say it's over priced but it isn't , quality ingredients cost more than unhealthy processed ingredients that have very little nutritional content. For the type of food you get here it is on par or lower than equivalent type foods. Yes you can get a cake mix cake and coffee for $6 elsewhere and here it will be about $12 but you are getting cakes that are made with nuts, dates and other healthy ingredients. People also say healthy doesn't taste as good. I defy any skeptic to eat Inlakesh's paleo caramel slice and say it doesn't taste good.
We have visited this restaurant many times and not once have we been disappointed with the service or the quality of the food. We have had a variety of options, from morning/afternoon tea to lunch and on every occasion, the experience has been well received. It is one of our favourite places to visit when we are at the Square.

I have been here many times solo and with my mum but since having a baby I have been there twice with other mums and our babies. Usually there are 3-4 of us with prams and we get made to feel like we are such a nuisance when we ask if there are any tables inside. The first time we all came the manager said it was booked out inside.especially with us all having prams, fair enough, they take up room but then the next time the manager saw us from outside and calls to a waitress that we are coming and then meets us at the door and looks at our prams and says that we wonât be able to fit inside... itâs a cold, wet day and we didnât feel like sitting outside. Our babies were asleep so couldnât take them out. She was nice enough and accomodated us in the end but if you have prams, book ahead or donât go if you want to sit inside otherwise you get looked at like youâre a leper.

The food was delicious and serving size was generous. The chicken was cooked perfectly. They had some good options for kids meals. The staff were kind, friendly and very attentive. The café was quiet, clean and had comfortable seating. Overall a great experience. I will recommend this café to others. Thank you

Great value, casual dining restaurant with table service that has something for everyone: ribs, nachos, pizza, salads, pancakes and more. All day breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert.
Had the regular stack plain pancakes with cream, and a large flat white. Why, when I donât have sugar, was it so sweet? Pancakes were ok, average quality

A friend and I sat outside in the Autumn sunshine. Our waitress was friendly and efficient and our food delicious. We both ordered chicken Caesar salad which had a delicious dressing, perfectly poached chicken and crispy bacon. Yum! We shared a pistachio almond slice and it was very tasty.

Wow. Great find. Wife felt like a nice breakfast and nice we had. Only small but as they say size doesnât matter. On arriving it was full but were lucky when people were just leaving. The two ladies on the front serving so nice. I had a bruschetta with poached eggs and my wife a big breakfast. Both nicely presented and great flavour. Coffee excellent but could of been a touch hotter. Will definitely come again.

Met with friends for a nice lunch & good catch up time. Pleasing extensive menu, good table service & not made to feel we needed to âmove onâ quickly! Would recommend as good foodie & relaxation experience all round.

Hi, My husband and I went to Essen last night to celebrate Valentine's day. They had a set four course menu, which we enjoyed, we both had a starter of cheesy bread then entree of oysters, our main meal was steak, then dessert was sticky date pudding. The staff were all very friendly.
