While visiting Friends in Dubbo they recommended dinner at the Castlereagh . Menu had a good selection and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient. The highlight for us was being asked to play a type of trivia played with electronics key pad, with questions on tvs teens through pub. It was good fun and filled in a Tuesday night very well.

The exterior looked beautiful. The interior looked lovely from outside. Previous reviews for a meal were encouraging. The Commercial Hotel Dubbo or The Mersh as it is affectionately known was established in 1859 and sits as the oldest Dubbo pub. With such a long history and diverse offering, it is no surprise that this Dubbo pub is a favourite amongst locals. A place whe
After coming here for years I would recommend trying somewhere else. The environment has deteriorated with the place smelling dirty, there may be a problem with the plumbing or drainage. I needed a drink after a strange meal with very hot sauce which was bland and totally flavourless apart from the small bowl of hot sauce. The hot meat is dumped on top of the salads destroying them. Presentation is poor and flavour is non existent. Who ever is doing the cooking may need to eat their own slop or rethink what they are doing. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.Hi V365ZPsandyh, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and we're very sorry to hear about your experience in the hotel. We value our customers and would love the opportunity to speak to you further about your experience - if you would like to email our Manager, Jimmy on [email protected] so we can chat further that would be great.

Stumbled across this pub as we were walking by. Came back later that day for lunch and was surprised at the meals. The pizza, beer battered fish and hamburgers make it a great little place to hang out at. For all the craft beer lovers there is a good selection for you as well.
