Walter's Bistro is located within Cex Woolgoolga Bowling Club. We offer a delicious selection of both Chinese and western cuisines. Walter Hui our head chef has won multiple awards for his culinary skills, including the bronze medal at the 6th Annual Worl
This was our first experience of Walter's Bistro and it will not be our last. We expected a club atmosphere rather than an intimate dining experience so were not disappointed by the rather cavernous dining area. It was a shame that apart from our group of three there was only one other couple there at Saturday lunchtime, so it lacked atmosphere. However, for catching up with friends it is ideal - there was a wide range of lunch specials at excellent prices and of course the nearby bar had a great selection of drinks. We found the food very good. One of us enjoyed Chicken Kiev, another Barramundi while the Pad Thai was also very satisfying. The service was friendly and prompt.
We chose two of the burgers on offer for our lunch - Moroccan and Mexican. Both excellent. The day was cool, so we sat inside. Combine pleasant atmosphere, good food and very friendly staff and you have a winner.

Great hot chips here. Tried the calamari but didn't like it tasted a bit off or at worst very fishy. Saw a couple of people eating burgers which looked really nice as well.
Great cocktails we had booked another place for dinner but the menu looks fantastic after dinner we went back for more cocktails. We are going back soon to have dinner and more cocktail, love this place and the waitress that served us. 10/10 fantastic

Gourmet Takeaway Fish and Chips shop. Fine seafood dining from a takeaway box. We use only premium wild caught Australian and New Zealand seafood. The fish are jumpin' fresh, succulent, crisp fried and deliciously more-ish! We offer quality, classic fish
Tried this fish and chippery on the recommendation of friends. Ordered three pieces of flake and potato cakes. Fish was greyish colour and overall our meal was greasy. Potato cakes were thin. Not a patch on their competitor, of a similar name, just around the corner. Disappointing. Wonât be back.

My wife and I enjoyed an enjoyable lunch here in the rear garden area. The setting was very relaxing, surrounded by ferns and plants. The waitress was very attentive and friendly, and the meals arrived in good time and were very delicious and huge portions. The cafe is also "pet-friendly" in the rear garden even with mats and water bowls for your fury child. I would recommend it to others.

Anchor Kitchen & Bar is committed to using only ethically and sustainably caught fish and crustaceans and local organically grown produce and livestock. Our first step was making relationships with the local fisheries co-ops to supply the restaurant with
I was really looking forward to going out as we enjoyed the meal last time . We arrived and restaurant was busy . Unfortunately we were initially offered a table in an area that was separate and close to toilet door , which immediatelly made me wanting to leave . Staff was nice and offered to change position of the table which was again not perfect , however acceptable .It followed by receiving a wrong wine ... no problem easily fixed and I was very thankful ! Despite being busy , eat arrived soon ! Than , I thought they had enough of me ! When my main meal arrived and was bit bland I asked for some parmesan with pasta they just said we do not stock parmesan ! Really ? A restaurant that serve past and do not stock parmesan !!

Woolgoolga is a great place to go to off the freeway. This cafe served healthy nutritious food. I got some sweet potato wedges with beans and jalapeños, it was super tasty. I also bought some of their home made granola, which I am looking forward to tasting.
