The street view of the Riverview Hotel does not tell the full story of what lies within, at the back of the building is a fabulous deck and restaurant which serves up delicious, well portioned meals with stunning views over the Tweed River. The restaurant was doing a great trade on the Sunday that we visited for lunch, popular with motorcyclists and couples. There were plenty of choices on the menu for our group of three, we enjoyed our meals of fish, chips and salad, beef curry and pan fried barramundi, chips and salad. Service was friendly and prompt, meals and drinks were well priced.

Loved the menu range of fresh, wholesome, vege dishes. Outdoor seating good for us as travelling with small dog. Iâd love to work my way through all their offerings! Lovely staff too. Great falafel wraps in locally made pita, kofta balls with dhal, vege lasagne. Yum!

Following a friends recommendation, we traveled to the Tweed Valley Gallery and Cafe. Cafe outlook was picturesque. Service was prompt. Menu was varied. Pizza and Spanakopita with fresh salad made for a good lunch.

I visit this restaurant often with family, friends and even on date night. Food is always delicious, service is fantastic, staff are friendly and very helpful. They're prices are fantastic and meals are HUGE! They also have indoor and outdoor dining with a beautiful view of the mountains and river. Highly recommend Allan's seafood and Asian restaurant.

Had lunch there a few weeks ago with my Beloved. Despite being on a (temporary thank goodness!) very restricted diet, I managed to find several things on the menu to tempt. Food arrived in good time, looked very appealing on the plate and taste lived up to appearance. Staff very happy, friendly and efficient. All in all, one of the better places to enjoy a meal in Murwillumbah and will definitely return once I can enjoy a broader selection - including those very yummy looking cakes!

Passing through from interstate we stopped in for lunch. We really enjoyed it. We had a coffee, iced chocolate, carrot muffin and a falafel wrap. ($24). The muffin was huge and fresh, and the falafel wrap delicious. They have both traditional bakery/cafe fare as well as âmodernâ cuisine. Being vegetarian, there are not many places that have many nice choices, but this place had plenty. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The decor reminded me of going to the Coles cafeteria as a child! I loved it. 100 years and still going strong....donât change a thing, or youâll just be like every other cafe! Thank you

We popped in here for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. They only had a relatively small menu but it was an interesting one and the food was fresh, tasty and it looked fantastic. Worth a visit.

Your meal at Mavis's Kitchen reflects what's important to us: food grown organically (in our own garden where possible), sourced locally, harvested seasonally and prepared and served with love. Our food philosophy has always been about low food miles, env
Booked in for lunch & breakfast. Lunch menu was simple but creative. Food was very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. Location on the eastern verandah was perfect. Next morning, after a wander through the extensive kitchen garden, breakfast on the same verandah was relaxing and very good.
