If you enjoy trying a little of everything, this is perfect for you. The tapas plates are great for sharing and you can try so many different flavours in one night. I rate the lamb kebab as my favourite plate ever. The ribs are really good and the crispy pork bites are a close second. Beer on tap, cocktails and sangria jugs, what more could you need.Thank you so much glad you enjoyed the food as we put our hearts and souls into every dish. Sincerely Thank you

The shop could do with an update, dont let the look of the shop deter you from going here the food is great. The service is fast and the team friendly. The meals were fresh and tasty, with the just right amount of spices and flavour. The portions are on the larger size. Great value option for takeaway or eat in.
Good selection of food at a decent price. Lunch specials available ($11 I think for dish rice and drink) and eftpos availableo

Waiting out a fierce storm on Macquarie Pass lead to my wife and I looking for somewhere to have a quick dinner in Albion Park. The result of our quick search was Tongara Thai. This Thai restaurant sounds and smells like the real deal. It looks like a family operation. A quick conversation at the end with a Thai lady who could have been the matriarch revealed they have been there nine years. That says something. There is energy at Tongara Thai. The takeaway side of the business was obviously very busy. I watched how carefully they packaged the orders to make sure the sauces did not leak. The dining area is quite small - not much privacy however the back ground activity from the semi open kitchen provided a bit of shield. The atmosphere is friendly, warm and filled its inviting aromas. Our experience of the food was very satisfying indeed. So many Asian restaurants serve spring rolls which are often oily and tasteless. Not here. The spring rolls were crisp, flavourful and well shaped. Nothing soggy. The real joy was the crying tiger. Superbly tender meat with an interesting version of the classic sauce. What ever you do, try the crying tiger (entree or main).Fish can be a poor choice in lower quality Asian restaurants. Once again, not here. The Honey Pepper Fish was a joy - a generous serve of a white fish fillets (forgot to ask what) in black pepper, garlic and honey sauce. This dish is quite sweet so bear that in mind if you have a savoury palate. You will have to discover the rest yourself.Tongara Thai is informal. We received quick service even on a busy evening. If you can manage to say thank you in Thai, in the Thai way, the bond will be complete. We will certainly be back. There is lots more on the menu to try out.

Authentic Thai Cuisine
Ordered Barramundi with honey-lemon sauce, nice and tasty; ordered red curry chicken...tasty & lightly spicy; ordered chicken satay...was told it was spicy...it was bland; ordered fried rice...an insipid concoction of jasmine rice, onion, egg, tomato and overcooked strips of beef was served, ladling the red curry sauce over the rice made it palatable. But charging $5 for a pot of green tea made with one lousy tea bag is over the top and so is charging for containers should you wish to take home any left over

Went for lunch during recent shopping trip. Was nice to sit somewhere other than food court. We arrived not long after opening for lunch, there were already around four patrons there. Good selection but none of the hot options were ready and on the train. Bit disappointing but nice selection anyway. We enjoyed watching the prep process too, particularly the flame grill. Would go again.

this place is becoming a favorite of our because of the outstanding food, service and price as it is also a BYO. The set lunch is the best priced food in town and at night the food is fantastic. Highly recommended but book in as the word is out.

Enjoyed a Sunday lunch. Service was great, food was great, atmosphere underwhelming. Excellent lunch special. Less than $10 per head.
